Trivia
- Although this was supposed to be a top 100 countdown, not all episodes had hosting segments with Patchy before them: the episodes numbered 99 ("Hall Monitor"), 76-62 ("Missing Identity" to "Idiot Box"), 60-57 ("Whale of a Birthday" to "Wormy"), 49 and 48 ("Pressure" and "Culture Shock"), 45-42 ("Chocolate with Nuts" to "Neptune's Spatula"), 40 and 39 ("Jellyfishing" and "Once Bitten"), 35 ("The Great Snail Race"), 11-7 ("Fear of a Krabby Patty" to "The Camping Episode"), and 5-3 ("Ghost Host" to "Dunces and Dragons") all had no hosting segments leading to them ("Reef Blower" and "Karate Island" are not counted; the former is attached directly to "Help Wanted" and the latter followed the premiere of "Best Day Ever"). In addition, Patchy fell asleep from 73-61 ("Texas" to "Suds"), and as a result, those spots were missed. However, the spots can be viewed in the Internet.
- Similar to the ball dropping on New Years Eve, a giant SpongeBob fell during the last few hours of the countdown.
