"Skill Crane" is an episode from Season 4.

In the episode, Mr. Krabs orders a Skill Crane and Mr. Krabs pays for itself. He gives SpongeBob and Squidward a quarter each and Squidward tries but he is unsuccessful. Then SpongeBob tries and he wins a stuffed bear named Beary. After that Squidward is jealous and SpongeBob just keeps winning. But Squidward is unlucky and keeps missing (Partly because of anger).

He even ends up putting the deed to his house in the machine Mr. Krabs still does not mind though and this causes Squidward grief. SpongeBob ends up teaching Squidward the secret and makes sure that he rubs it in everyone’s faces when he wins. But then he goes in to a real life crane and starts destroying everything including the new mall! The episode ends with Squidward being surrounded by workmen ready to be beaten up. SpongeBob tries to save him but he can only pick up toys! It is then obvious that Squidward gets beaten up, although you do not get to see it.

  • The same music heard from the title card can be heard during Patrick's dream in the episode Sleepy Time, and in episode Shanghaied the part where SpongeBob and Patrick were ice skating also it is shown in Mid-Life Crustacean where the kids ask Mr. Krabs "Can you feel it Mr. Krabs"
  • When SpongeBob wins, the winning sign changes to: "You Win," "Winner," and "Win."
  • The Plot is simular to the plot of 1960's "The Twilight Zone" episode "The Fever". Some parts can also be a parody of it, in which the crane calls out Squidward's name.
  • Mr. Krabs hid himself and his cash register inside SpongeBob, but when he got out, he left the cash register inside SpongeBob.
  • SpongeBob had five stuffed animals, but when he was in the kitchen, he only had four.
  • This is one of the eleven episodes in which the title card has an animation. The others are SB-129, Pre-Hibernation Week, One Krab's Trash, Idiot Box, SpongeBob Meets the Strangler, Ghost Host, Karate Island, All that Glitters, The Donut of Shame, and The Krabby Kronicle.
  • This is one of three episodes were things float across the screen unnaturally. The other two are Fear of a Krabby Patty and Suction Cup Symphony.
  • Squidward joking calls himself Squidward "Manual Dexterity" Tentacles.
  • If you paid attention, it is impossible for a piggy bank to shed a tear.
  • Mrs. Wiggles becomes the color red while its normal color is pink.
  • The first stuffed animal SpongeBob wins is a stuffed bear that he names "Beary", but later in the episode he calls it "SpongeBear Jr." He must have renamed it.
  • When Squidward is at home he finds he cannot pick up his TV remote, so uses his eyeball to press the ON button. He screams in pain. Later in the episode, when SpongeBob is being chased by the runaway crane, he runs on his eyeballs, without any pain.
