Howard is a character debuting in the episode New Fish in Town. He has the same interests as Squidward and lives in a trailer. He becomes Squidward's friend shortly after meeting him, but Squidward antagonizes him after he takes an interest in bubbles and jellyfish. Then, out of anger, Squidward pushes his trailer off a large cliff, and Howard goes after it. He is not seen in the series after that.

He has light purple skin, and he wears a green shirt and glasses.

Howard plays bassoon, just like Squidward does with his clarinet.
He rents Patrick's front yard.
He has Tiki Statues in his trailer just like Squidward.
He despises jellyfish bubble-blowers like Squidward, but becomes one in the end.
He is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.
Interestingly, much like his interests, Howard's first name is similar to Squidward's.
