The Best Day Ever Marathon was a 24 hour marathon of SpongeBob that began on November 9th, 2006 at 6PM and ended at 6PM on November 10th, 2006. The marathon conisted of 100 SpongeBob episodes that were pre-chosen by the viewers themselves. After 99 episodes, the episode Best Day Ever Premeired, followed by the number 1 episode of the marathon (Karate Island), then the TV premire of the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.

• Although it was supposed to be a top 100 countdown, Patchy the Pirate, who hosted it, fell asleep from 73-61 ("Texas" to "Suds"). As a result, those spots were missed. However, the spots can be viewed in the Internet.
• Similar to the ball dropping on New Years Eve, a giant SpongeBob fell during the last few hours of the countdown.
