The Bikini Bottom News (BBN) is a news channel that airs on TV. There are lots of different reporters, and the favorite is Perch Perkins, who starred in the news flash announcing the Krusty Krab 2, and in other episodes. A Realistic Fish Head did the news flashes in the earlier episodes, and, in later episodes, he would serve as a lead-in to Perch. In the episode The Krusty Sponge and A SquarePants Family Vacation, two fish named Bob and Barbara host the news, and Gene Scallop reviewed the Krusty Krab in his segment, Bottom Feeding. The News featuring Perch Perkins is seen in many other episodes, such as Once Bitten, where Perch was talking about the Mad Snail Disease, and then in the episode The Pink Purloiner, Perch was at Jellyfish Fields talking about the Jellyfish Migration.
The news even appears on the radio as seen in the The Hot Shot.

- Unknown Story-In Grooming Gary reported by Perch Perkins. Perch said, "Another beautiful day in Bikini Bottom," and then SpongeBob walked by, interrupting it.
- Weather Report-reported by Bob in Pineapple Fever.
- Professor Squilliam (Squidward) interview then SpongeBob & Patrick in a trans report and Squidward getting arrested while impersonating Squilliam (this was supposed to happen for the interview and the trans but Squidward kicked the Camera Man and the reporter out. Maybe they reported it but it is unknown and unseen.) In Professor Squidward.
- Quinn Jinson on "A Series of Sad Tales"-A snail that got stuck in a tree, an interview with a boy who didn't get what he wanted for his birthday, and The Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy Show being shown for only 7 times a day instead of 8. In A Day Without Tears.
- Percha Perkins interviewing SpongeBob being a new star (Only in his thoughts)from Model Sponge.
- Diane Ortega reporting about the Krusty Krab Talent Show from Culture Shock.
- Perch Perkins reporting about the Tunnel of Glove ride being stuck- In Tunnel of Glove. Somehow Patrick was eating his food with the TV on, showing the news cast at Glove World, and then he was stupid enough not listening what happened to SpongeBob, then Perch talked to Pat saying "Hey Doofus! Your buddy is trapped in the tunnel of the glove and may never escape."
- Perch Perkins on the radio reporting about the Car chase involving Tony Fast Jr. and SpongeBob- In The Hot Shot. It was heard in the car of Tony Fast, which shocked him.
- Realistic Fish Head reports that a wealthy entrepreneur who remains anonymous is sponsoring a sleigh race for a grand prize of 1 million dollars and all of the town has entered then he hands the report to Perch Perkins who is live at the scene reporting about the race with the Camera Man who is not blue and he is Fred. He talks about how he feels about the race, but he doesn't answer as he is all happy about being on TV. Then he goes to some random lady not seen. Seen in Frozen Face-Off.

- There is also a newspaper, named "Bikini Bottom Newspaper", and they may be associated.
- It is unknown what their news hours may be, but it has to be during the morning, afternoon, or evening. The radio hours are probably unknown.
- Mother SquarePants and Father SquarePants seem to watch it. As seen in the episode BlackJack
- In The Great Patty Caper the news was headlined Bikini Bottom Special Report.
- In Karate Star there is a completely different reporter on the TV in the Barg'n Mart. He was also in A Day Without Tears. The reporter is never outright named; this page refers to him as "Quinn Jinson."
- In What Ever Happened to SpongeBob?, Perch Perkins was reporting for KNKC Special Report. He could probably be working for both stations.
- In The Hot Shot when Perch was reporting on the radio, it may have been the first time for the station and he is probably their main radio anchor and maybe the only one.
- Patrick thinks BBN is boring in the episode SpongeHenge.
