[edit] Plot

The episodes begins with Squidward imagining himself in a sunny Jellyfish Fields, when he's actually at the Krusty Krab. Upon knowing this, Squidward tells SpongeBob he's not feeling well. He said he has "Squid's Disease", which shows symptoms of itchy eyes, scrathy throat, and dry mouth. SpongeBob tells Squidward he has to go home until he's fully recovered. Squidward tells Mr. Krabs he's sick, who doesn't find the situation believable. He said that he doesn't want customers starving, and puts Squidward back to work. SpongeBob wears a protective mask to avoid catching Squid's Disease. Squidward fakes a sneeze into one of the nozzles, causing SpongeBob to tell Mr. Krabs that Squidward is sick. Krabs then tells Squidward to "make himself scarce". Squidward joyfully exits the Krusty Krab. Later on, SpongeBob believes he's caught the disease as well, and tries not to let Mr. Krabs find out. After applying hot sauce and pickles to his leg, he causes mayhem and is forced home. SpongeBob and Squidward then watch a romantic comedy while Mr. Krabs fills in for SpongeBob at the Krusty Krab, not doing as well a job. Squidward, meanwhile, says he feels better and is ready to return to the Krusty Krab. Then Krabs has the disease, and it turns out a romantic comedy is the only cure for Squid's Disease.
