Glove World R.I.P. is an episode from Season 8.
SpongeBob is in his house reading a book, when suddenly, a roller coaster bursts through his wall. The roller coaster had got into an accident and crashed into SpongeBob's house, and the passengers mention Glove World is closing down forever. SpongeBob immediately rushes to Patrick's house to tell him about it. SpongeBob and Patrick head over to Glove World to ask the owner if the rumor is true. Instead of answering them, he gives Patrick a large glove, which he uses as briefs, and then SpongeBob and Patrick begin making several glove related puns. Afterwards, the owner confirms that Glove World will be shutting down, and the two begin panicking.
SpongeBob and Patrick decide to ride all of their favorite rides one last time. After riding a few rides, they decide to ride the Ferris Wheel. However, it breaks free of its moorings and the two manage to jump off the ride. SpongeBob and Patrick look to see why Glove World is being cancelled, and they see many rides crashing, with everything breaking and going wrong. SpongeBob decides to fix Glove World to prevent it from being closed down. First, SpongeBob morphs shapes to imitate the hall of mirrors. One of the carnies is angered when a little kid kicks his shin, so he quits. The owner allows Patrick to serve as a replacement for him. SpongeBob tries to fix the swing ride when the operator falls asleep. However, he injures many of the ride's passengers and messes the ride up. Next, SpongeBob fails to save some of the victims of a roller coaster crash. Meanwhile, Patrick is terrorizing the citizens in the glove costume.
Afterwards, they notice the park is completely deserted and it is now completely destroyed. The two chain themselves to the entrance to prevent the owner from shutting Glove World down. However, it is revealed that it was closed down because Glove Universe had opened up. SpongeBob tries to unchain themselves, but the key is missing. Patrick hid the key at the bottom of Glove Lake.
- Glove World has really collapsed since all the rides seem to cause harm rather than fun.
