• It is a reference to a famous carnival ride, Tunnel of Love and a song called Magnet of Love.
• The Fiery Fist O Pain appears at the beginning of the episode.
• This is the second episode where Pearl views SpongeBob as an enemy, the first being The Slumber Party. However, she later made up in the end.
• This episode and Shellback Shenanigans were released online in August 2010.

• Chowder was referenced when Pearl says she isn't SpongeBob's girlfriend. This is like with Chowder and Panini and Chowder says he isn't her boyfriend.
