===Places===

Time/Date

  • Sometime before Krusty Love took place. - How do we know this?

Plot

Pearl goes through her growth spurt and to avoid spending money, Mr. Krabs steals food from friends.

Trivia/Goofs

  • Somehow, Squidward's house spoke.
  • At the end, Pearl is so big that if she stood up,she would get a huge hole in the Krusty Krab, then again in Squeaky Boots, under the Krusty Krab's is just flat solid sand.
  • Most of Patrick's food in this episode is made of sand, like his other furniture. Since Patrick is a bottom feeder, he is able to survive on just sand, and likely only eats other foods for flavor, in the same way SpongeBob eats. SpongeBob could rely totally on filter-feeding if he wanted to, since he's a sponge, but he eats other foods anyway.
  • This is the fourth time that Pearl wasn't embarrassed by or didn't get angry at Mr. Krabs. The first was Culture Shock. The second was Bossy Boots. The third is Tentacle Vision, but loosely.
  • The title is a play on words of the phrase growth spurt.
  • This is the second time a worm spits on Mr. Krabs. The first time was in Pet or Pests.
  • The title card music is the same as Imitation Krabs.
  • In this episode Mrs. Puff does not know Mr. Krabs at all, but in Krusty Love she knew Mr. Krabs, but this episode might take place before Krusty Love.
  • It doesn't make sense that feeding Pearl more food would make her stop growing. In actuality, the more she ate, the more she'd grow.
  • Since Pearl's room is on the 2nd floor, Mr. Krabs brought a full refrigerator up stairs in less than 30 seconds.
  • How would Squidward know that Mr. Krabs stole some of his (Squidward) food? Unless he has seceruty camera...
  • The episode never showed how Mr. Krabs got Pearl into the Krusty Krab.
  • SpongeBob adds love to every Krabby Patty he makes, like the one to fix Pearl.
  • In Mrs. Puff's Room, you can see a picture of a brown-haired puffer fish, which could be a relative, or maybe a younger Mrs. Puff.
  • Pearl turned 16 in Whale of a Birthday. 16-year-olds don't have growth spurts. The only possibility is that this takes place a couple years before. - Actually, that's not true. It's uncommon, but not impossible, for 16-year-olds to have growth spurts.
  • This is the first title card to have whales.
  • When Mrs. Puff throws the crowbar at her fence, that post turns into the shape of a crowbar.
  • In the episode Rise and Shine Patrick eats coral, but in this episode Patrick eats sand molded food.
  • A giant Pearl is true because whales are big in real life.
  • When Pearl grows, her clothes grow as well when they are supposed to rip and be torn.
