Trivia
- Released on DVD in Legends of Bikini Bottom on November 16, 2010.
- The episode name is an obvious pun on "volcano".
- This is the second appearence of dolphins in general. The first dolphins appear in SpongeBob Vs. The Big One while JKL was surfing for the first time onscreen.
- Squidward's house was sacrificed to the volcano to stop it from erupting.
