[edit] Plot

Plankton uses batteries that were accidentally dropped into Bikini Bottom to power a robot that he uses to steal a ultra-secure safe; he thinks the safe has the Krabby Patty Secret Formula. Mr. Krabs states that a key is required to open the safe, that he made 3 copies of the key, and that the copies are hidden in 3 secret locations marked on a map that is quickly stolen by Plankton as well. Sandy suggests to Krabs that they should head out "and find the keys before Plankton does." Krabs decides to go through with the plan, and he, SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Sandy embark on a adventure to find the keys.

Plankton confronts them, but he is defeated and retreats. He then sends his cousins Clem and Rainchild to battle them, but SpongeBob and co. win those battles as well. Finally, Plankton confronts the group once more, but he is still no match for them. Ultimately, however, it turns out that Krabs had the formula the whole time, and Squidward complains that they went on a adventure for nothing. Later that night, SpongeBob and Patrick are watching television in Patrick's rock, SpongeBob being amazed by the TV's reception. As the game ends, it is revealed that the batteries are powering the TV from the outside.
