Dennis (The Hitman)
Dennis is an assassin hired by Plankton in the The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. He is one of the movie's main antagonists, other than Plankton.

Dennis was a assassin who was hired by Sheldon J. Plankton to kill SpongeBob and Patrick, the reason being that Plankton stole King Neptune's crown and tricked King Neptune into believing the crime was committed by Eugene H. Krabs, so King Neptune threatened to execute Mr. Krabs (via burning by fire) unless the crown was to be retrieved within 6 days; Plankton wanted Mr. Krabs to die of a painful and wrongful execution, and upon learning SpongeBob and Patrick's journey to get the crown back, he sent Dennis to stop them before they reached Shell City.
Dennis is introduced as a "vicious, cold-blooded predator" by Plankton as SpongeBob and Patrick are heading to the Thug Tug. Dennis himself is first seen driving to the gas station that SpongeBob and Patrick had visited earlier. The attendants, Lloyd and Floyd, see him and, regarding his cowboy hat, Floyd asks him, "Hey, mister, does that hat take ten gallons?" As the attendants laugh, Dennis promptly rips off their mouths to silence them and drives away. Sometime later, Dennis drives to the Thug Tug. There, he blows a bubble but is caught by the owner of the bar. As the patrons explain the bar's policy on bubble-blowing, Dennis punches the owner with a single upper-cut and launches him directly into the Thug Tug, presumably killing him and causing the bar to sink.
Later, SpongeBob and Patrick, after surviving the "deep, dark, dangerous, hazardous, and monster-infested trench", encounter Dennis for the first time. Just as Dennis is about to kill them with his "big" spiky boot, he ends up ironically getting stepped on by the Cyclops' "bigger boot". After what happened at Shell City, SpongeBob and Patrick hitch a ride on David Hasselhoff, who speedily swims through the ocean to send them back to Bikini Bottom. During the middle of the swim, SpongeBob and Patrick see the boot of the Cyclops approaching Hasselhoff. Dennis, who was crushed similarly to Plankton, reforms and peels off the boot, revealing that he is still alive. He tries to kill SpongeBob and Patrick, but fails to do so. He is hit in the face by an overpass that David Hasselhoff ducked underwater to dodge; his fate is unknown as he doesn't appear again, but Dennis could have been killed because he was hit by the overpass.

- He was voiced by Alec Baldwin.
- Dennis the Hitman is not the same person as SpongeBob's friend from elementary school, Dennis.
- His right shoe has the sentence, "your head here".
- His motorcycle license is "I KILL U", which means "I kill you.".
- It is unknown if, when he was hit by the overpass, he was decapitated or he just fell into the ocean, though, seeing as how it doesn't show him falling, it is possibly the former.
- There wasn't a scene in the movie where Plankton employs Dennis, or one where Plankton meets Dennis. Either both the ideas became deleted scenes that weren't put on the DVD of the movie for some reason, or they chose to remove them and not put them on any disc or add them to any airing of the movie.
- His motorcycle looks like a chopper.
