Sandy Cheeks is a very smart, talented and athletic squirrel born in the state of Texas, who moved to Bikini Bottom in the Pacific Ocean because her job is experimenting underwater. She is also an inventor and loves science very much. She's one of the seven main characters in the show, although she isn't featured quite as much as other characters such as SpongeBob, Patrick, or Squidward (she only made 6 appearances in season 3, but has been featured more in other seasons). sBold textItalic textLink title[http://--97.101.26.53 03:00, 23 June 2009 (BST)

Trivia

Sandy's voice actor, Carolyn Lawrence, also voices Cindy Vortex on the show The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, and she and Sandy both practice martial arts. However, Cindy practices tae-kwon-do, while Sandy practices karate.
The logo on the patch of Sandy's spacesuit varies between three black dots in season one, and an acorn from the second season onwards.
It is revealed in the episode Patrick Smartpants that Sandy's full name is Sandra.
Sandy is described as the only mammal in Bikini Bottom. However, that is not accurate. Pearl Krabs is also a Mammal.
In season one, Sandy did not have a tail visible through her suit.
During season 4, Sandy is a scientist but in the episode Tea at the Treedome she would've known a sea creature can't live without water. Most likely, she is not a Zoologist.
She also made fourteen appearances in season one. That is more appearances than any other seasons in the series.
In I Had an Accident, when the gorilla captures Sandy, this is a parody of King Kong.
She is right-handed.
