SpongeBob in the tar pit.
The Prehistoric Tar Pit is a tar pit that appeared in the episode: Ditchin’. It is a tar pit that has many fossils at the surface. SpongeBob almost sank there in Ditchin’.
[edit] Early Inhabitants
Fossils at the surface of the tar suggest that dinosaurs once lived on or near the pit and even ice age creatures like a mammoth and a aurochs you see in the picture possibly got stuck in ocean then die and sunk into Prehistoric Bikini Bottom.
