The success and popularity of SpongeBob SquarePants has sparked in the numerous clips and images of the show being turned into memes, fads, parodies, and other forms of Internet culture. The episodes Something Smells, Just One Bite, Chocolate With Nuts, Jellyfish Hunter, The Algae’s Always Greener, Squidville, Survival of the Idiots, Have You Seen This Snail?, Big Pink Loser, and Band Geeks seem to have spawned the most popularity on the Internet.

- Viral: This has become very popular on YouTube, with multiple different things being used instead of the Tentacle Acres commercial.

- Original: Man Ray, the Dirty Bubble, and Barnacle Man have named their new alliance "E.V.I.L", an acronym meaning "Every Villain Is Lemons".
- Viral: This has become very popular with YouTube Poops due to its inappropriate nature. It has also sometimes been replaced with another acronym that is more inappropriate, or just makes no sense, like ABAP (As Balla as Possible).
