Plot

One morning Mr. Krabs wakes and looks at the mirror as he hears a song the song on the radio. In a satire of a mid-life crisis, Mr. Krabs begins to worry that he is older than he thought, and asks Pearl if he's still cool. Pearl says that no-one says cool anymore, they say coral, and that when he says it, it sounds so un-coral. Pearl then talk to her friends on the phone and said coral is definitely out, because of her father. Then at work, he overheard SpongeBob and Patrick planning something that night, so he joins them. They went to several places, like The Wash. Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob, and Patrick go to are lame, all the things that they did was for children. Patrick then tells Mr. Krabs he will then miss the panty raid. Mr. Krabs then changes his mind and decided to come with them again. Mr. Krabs took back all those nasty things he said about them. Everything went fine, until Mr. Krabs found out that he was in his mother's house. Her mother caught him in the act, then he sent him up to his room and grounds him for the rest of the night (at least he feels like a kid again and learning what it is like).

Trivia/Goofs

  • When Mr. Krabs says Have a Coral Day, Pearl says to her friend, Jenny, on the phone "Coral is definitely out". She may be implementing a plan to say cool in a way that Mr. Krabs wouldn't like. But in later episodes Pearl uses the word Coral probably because she forgot it was back in style.
  • When SpongeBob, Patrick, and Mr. Krabs are climbing up the ladder and into Mama Krabs' house, the house is blue. But right before the episode ends, the house is back to being its normal pink.
  • When it zoomed out of the ice cream stand, it made a bubble sound, but no bubbles have appeared.
  • In this episode when Mr. Krabs said, Why didn't you two tell me this was my mother's house?!, when you look behind him. There is a black and white picture of his parents when they got married.
  • In the part where Patrick came in to the Krusty Krab and SpongeBob yelled: Hey Patrick! You all ready for the big night out tonight? The part where SpongeBob says: You all ready for the big night out tonight? SpongeBob sounded like Dog from another Nickelodeon TV series Cat Dog. tom kenny (Spongebob vocie) also voiced dog on catdog.
  • In this episode, when the boy in the Krusty Krab says his patty tastes funny, Mr. Krabs takes it out of the garbage and it does not have a single bite taken out of it.
  • The episode's title is a reference to a Mid-Life Crisis which mr. krabs is having.
  • How can Mr. Krabs not recognize his own mother's house? In "Sailor Mouth" he, SpongeBob and Patrick were punished by painting Mama Krabs' House as a punishment for using foul language. though it was night and mr. krabs probably couldnt reconize it.
  • this episode has caused the most controversy because of near the end when mr. krabs spongebob and patrick go on a panty raid. this episode should either be edited of that part or it should be banned.

Controversy

There has been an allegation that a subliminal message in the episode. The allegation claims that Mr. Krabs asks, "Any porn in this store?" See the video Spongebob Mr. Krabs Subliminal Message (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDA0GGHgE1A).
