The SpongeBob-a-Thon was a SpongeBob SquarePants marathon that aired on January 21, 2002. Four new episodes (two from Season 2 and two from Season 3) premiered as part of the marathon.

"Welcome to the Chum Bucket" and "Frankendoodle" were held back from 2001 (between June and August).
"Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy IV" and "Doing Time" were the first new Season 3 episodes since October 5, 2001 with The Bully and Just One Bite.
This event ended the main original run of Season 2, although three more episodes of that season premiered after that.
