Rex is the new pet to SpongeBob, after Gary abandoned SpongeBob for Patrick as seen in the episode: Dumped. Soon to discover Rex is not such a good pet after all. Rex ignores all of the Tricks that SpongeBob tells him to do, except for to stay which he listens to. SpongeBob gave him a lot of praise. When SpongeBob starts saying stuff (to Gary and Patrick) of how good Rex is like: "So loyal! So Trusting! Always by my side!", and after that you see that Rex is at a bus stop and then gets onto the bus and leaves SpongeBob. Rex is the same species as Mr. Doodles.
