Drippy Brothers Studio is a (presumably) major film studio that was mentioned of in the episode Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy VI: The Motion Picture. They were developing a film about Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, even though they were using actors (in which SpongeBob calls "fakes"). They released their movie in 2005, which did well in revenues, likely making $30-$40,000 in this movie.

After the highly successful movie, Drippy Brothers Studio was never mentioned or seen again.

[edit] Trivia

  • It was only mentioned in Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy VI: The Motion Picture.
  • It has only made one known movie, and that is The Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy Movie.
  • It is a parody of Warner Bros. Pictures, one of the major film studios and a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery, with its headquarters in Burbank, California and New York. Warner Bros. is a member of the Motion Picture Association (MPA)’s "Big Five" ("Big Six" at the time of the episode’s premiere) studios, along with Paramount Pictures (owned by Paramount Global), Columbia Pictures (owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment), Walt Disney Pictures (owned by the Walt Disney Company) and Universal Pictures (owned by Comcast). 20th Century Fox (now owned by Disney and known as 20th Century Studios) was a member of the "Big Six" before it became part of Disney.
    • The company’s Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy movie may also be a jab at Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, which was released the year of the episode’s premiere (2005) and started Nolan’s Dark Knight film trilogy.
