SpongeBoy

SpongeBoy was the original name for SpongeBob SquarePants. The name was created by Stephen Hillenburg, but the name was already trademarked and Hillenburg replaced the name with SpongeBob. His looks were practically the same as SpongeBob and he most likely had the same voice.

- In addition to being SpongeBob's original name, "SpongeBoy" was used in the original name of the show, SpongeBoy Ahoy!
- In the episode Squeaky Boots, Mr. Krabs says to SpongeBob, "SpongeBoy me Bob!" This might be a reference to the original "SpongeBoy" name.
