The Bikini Bottom Jail is governmental institution in Bikini Bottom as seen occasionally in the series. It was first seen in the episode, "Hall Monitor."

The building is four stories high, with a weight attached to it. The jail features a rock crushing yard, a kitchen, cafeteria (serves chili and uranium-free water), and the jail cells. The inmates do many activities such as crush rocks, lift weights, and make wire hangers and license plates. There have been many instances that involved main characters going to jail.

Criminals

SpongeBob SquarePants

SpongeBob has been seen in jail in Doing Time, Life of Crime, Party Pooper Pants and Krabby Road. In Life of Crime, SpongeBob was sent to jail for the first time but only for one second. He thought he stole a balloon, but it was really free balloon day. In Party Pooper Pants, he was sent to jail for not inviting the police. In Krabby Road, he and the rest of Plankton & the Patty Stealers are arrested on suspicion of trying to steal the Krabby Patty formula .SpongeBob was also sent to jail in "Driven to Tears" for littering after tearing up Patricks drivers license. Patrick was originally supposed to go, but SpongeBob took his place because it was his fault.

Patrick Star

Patrick has been in jail in Doing Time, Life of Crime, SpongeBob Meets the Strangler, Good Ol' Whatshisname and Krabby Road. First, in Doing Time, paired with SpongeBob, snuck into jail in order to help Mrs. Puff escape from jail. In Life of Crime, he went to jail for the same reason as SpongeBob. In SpongeBob Meets the Strangler, Patrick was foolish enough to think he was the strangler, so he just turned himself in. Later, in Good Ol' Whatshisname, Patrick was seen in jail, though it was unknown how he got there. See SpongeBob for how he ended up in jail in Krabby Road.

Mrs. Puff

Mrs. Puff has been in jail in Hall Monitor, No Free Rides, Ditchin', Summer Job and Doing Time. In Hall Monitor and Doing Time, Mrs. Puff was sent to jail because SpongeBob destroyed Bikini Bottom. In No Free Rides, she stole SpongeBob's new boatmobile and crashed it into a police car. In Summer Job, she was going to be sent to a Stoney Loaksome in the same outfit as "Hall Monitor". In Ditchin', she was sent to jail because she skipped Jury Duty.

Squidward Tentacles

Squidward has been in jail in "Good Ol' Whatshisname" and "Krabby Road." He went to jail in Good Ol' Whatshisname for stealing Mr. What Zit Tooya's wallet. But, as a matter of fact, he was happy to be in jail because he was away from SpongeBob, but he found out later that he was in the same room as Patrick. See SpongeBob for how he ended up in jail in Krabby Road

Eugene H. Krabs

Mr. Krabs was in jail in "The Smoking Peanut", "Nasty Patty", and "Good Ol' Whatshisname". He had to go to jail because since he thought it was free day, he was allowed to get everything like a light bulb, even Clamu's pearl, which turned out to be an egg that later hatched. In the ""Nasty Patty" ", he was sent to the Krusty Krab from a cop. and in Goold Ol' Whatshisname , he went to the Bikini Bottom Jail to give Squidward his prize.

Tattle-Tale Strangler

The Strangler was in jail in "SpongeBob Meets the Strangler." He was wanted for strangling tattletales.

Sheldon J. Plankton

Plankton was in jail in "Krabby Road." He had attempted to steal the Krabby Patty but this is his first time seen in jail.
