The Handsome Man is an alter ego of Squidward. When Squidward's face got smashed, it was remodeled into a more handsome look. This attracted people, but maybe a little too much, which scared and annoyed him. The face was smashed again back into Squidward's normal face. This event happens in The The Two Faces of Squidward.
