Anybody can be a super acquaintance, as Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, and Sandy did in the episode. The power is, (as revealed by Mermaid Man) all in the super suit. In the episode, Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, and Sandy wore the suits and became Super Acquaintances to accompany Mermaid Man in his quest to fight Man Ray, the Dirty Bubble, and bring back Barnacle Boy to the "good side".
