Plot
SpongeBob and Patrick want to ride the new roller coaster in Glove World. They get scared of it, but they don't want to tell each other. So they make excuses by going on the "dumb kiddie rides" like The Mitten first. Patrick also got a terrifying photo with Glovie ... but he was really scared! Finally, when it was announced that Glove World would be closing in 5 minutes, SpongeBob and Patrick go on the coaster. But it would not start.
So SpongeBob confesses that he was scared to go on the roller coaster, but didn't want to disappoint Patrick. Patrick had the same problem too. They were relieved of each other until the ride started. After riding the coaster, they lost their spines and the episode finished.
Trivia/Goofs
- Glove World also appeared in Stephen Hillenburg's inspired episode "Rock Bottom"
- It is impossible that SpongeBob and Patrick would lose their spines because they are invertebrates, which usually have no spines.
- If you pay close attention, then you will see that the Mitten had three laps.
- The "Fist O' Pain" first appeared in one of the artworks on the Friend or Foe DVD special features.
- At the beginning of this episode, they said that it was the grand opening of the Fist O' Pain, but in Friend or Foe? there was a t-shirt that said, "I survived the Fist O' Pain".
- On previous episodes where they feature Glove World, Glove World already has a roller coaster, which probably may be the Fiery Fist O' Pain. (Reply: Either that or the Fist O' Pain is supposed to be a new roller coaster and they tore down the old one.)
- In "Roller Cowards," you can notice that all the rides are gloves, mittens, or fists.
- After SpongeBob and Patrick finished the ride, they said "Let's go again", but in the scene before, it said that SpongeBob and Patrick were the last people to go on the ride for the day.
- SpongeBob's behavior when he was hitting himself with the ice cream cone was similar to that of Stewie Griffin from Family Guy.
- This ride (Fiery Fist O' Pain) may cause:

Controversy
People described the plot of this episode to be completely not clever. Other people, though, thought that the episode was good because it featured Glove World again.
