Fred is a character. His catchphrase is MY LEG!, he also wants Tom to scratch his butt! His friend's name is Tom. He usually wears brown pants and is a green skinned fish. He's married to Nancy. In the Jellyfish Jelly episode, Fred sings a song about the delicious "jelly patty". Fred's last name is unknown. Fred is seen in quite a few episodes as a backup character or a person in the crowd who tals or is in an angry mob (seen in a few episodes). His name was revealed in "Patty Hype" He is voiced by Tom Kenny. Fred first appeared in Reef Blowers. He is usually the most closest to Nancy in cameo-places where there's a lot of important fish.

In the episode Plankton!,he was blue. Fred also has many,many relatives that look exactly like him in The Paper, The Chaperone, and others. At the KelpShake restaurant, he was annoyed by Mr. Krab's fake sneezing and salivia spitting.

It is revealed that in Band Geeks, he probably died or was seriously injured and Nancy was affected by this.

He is also very eyeshot by King Neptune's very hot boldness in the Krusty Krab 2 in the Spongebob Squarepants Movie.

Fred may be a wealthy fish, because he is part of Squilliam Fancyson's friends, auctioned Mr.Krabs for $1,000,000 for the Soda-Drinking Hat, and in All that Glitters, he got all of Spongebob's life insurance and salary money for Le Spatula.
