Fingers! is a comic featured in Nickelodeon Magazine and Comic Crazy...Take 2!. In the comic, SpongeBob leaves town when he realizes no one else has fingers.

[edit] Plot

SpongeBob grabs a rock the size and shape of an American football that Patrick threw to him, declaring himself the "grab-master" afterward. Patrick then points out that he has fingers, which no one else in Bikini Bottom has, and tells him to face the fact that he's a "freak." As he leaves, Patrick calls him "SpongeBob Finger-Pants." SpongeBob claims that he can't be the only one with fingers in Bikini Bottom. However, when he enters the Krusty Krab, he notices no one else has fingers, even though he's declared "Employee of the Month" yet again.

At home, SpongeBob tells Gary, who thinks all appendages are weird, that fingers can't be that weird, but Gary thinks so. SpongeBob proceeds to leave town and puts paper bags on his hands so no one has to see his fingers. He ecides to get a Kelp Candy Bar before rejoining society at a place where no one knows him. However, he drops the bar and can't pick it up. Just as he decides that he'll never fit in anywhere, SpongeBob is confronted by a fish with fingers who immediately thought SpongeBob was a "finger guy." The fish tells SpongeBob that he doesn't have to be ashamed of his fingers anymore and takes him to Base Eight, "a place where it's cool to be dexterous." At Base Eight, SpongeBob decides to put his fingers "through the citizens' faces" and has some fun with them.

At the end of the day, SpongeBob is bushed, having had "enough finger fun for one day." He soon notices two fish making shadow puppets, as well as a fish who has been poked three times by another fish, and has his back scratched by one of the citizens. Seeing how the denizens of Base Eight use their fingers, SpongeBob tries to leave, but the fish stop him and try to get him to pull their fingers. Terrified, SpongeBob leaves Base Eight while the fish chase him. Soon, he's back in Bikini Bottom, having learned that what matters about fingers is "not whether you have 'em," but "how you use 'em." Patrick tells him that fingers aren't so bad compared to his "freaky head holes," to SpongeBob's shock.
