Nickelodeon (or Nick) is a pay-TV channel which broadcasts the series SpongeBob SquarePants. In the "Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards", SpongeBob has won the award 7 times in a row for the best cartoon on TV. Nickelodeon is one of the most popular kids' channels on TV. Nickelodeon broadcasts many shows, from The Fairly OddParents to The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.

Nickelodeon has ads centered on shows, kid toys, and information that kids would be interested in. It has many ads centered on SpongeBob, SpongeBob shorts, and anything related to the SpongeBob franchise and new episodes.

On the channel of Nickelodeon there are many spin-offs. Note that not all of these channels are internationally broadcast. These channels are affiliated with Nickelodeon. Since around 2023 or 2024, Nicktoons has only aired SpongeBob SquarePants.

  • Nickelodeon changed its logo in September 2009 along with the rebrand of TeenNick and Nick Jr.
  • Nickelodeon started in 1977 as C-3 (nicknamed the "Pinwheel Channel"). C-3 was later rebranded as Nickelodeon in 1979.
  • A nickelodeon, what Nickelodeon is named after, was a movie theater with an admission fee of one nickel.
