Plot

The episode begans with Gary retreiving the paper to SpongeBob. Gary reads the newspaper while SpongeBob plays with the rubber band that carried the newspaper and plays with Patrick. Then, the rubber bands all pop out. But soon, they find a little baby scallop in a bush with no parents. Patrick insists on destroying the scallop, until SpongeBob decides to be their new step-parents and adopt him. The scallop is hungry, and SpongeBob and Patrick have these ideas to feed him:

  • SpongeBob: Krabby Patty?
  • Patrick: Absolutely not! He needs a TINY Krabby Patty!
  • Scallop: Yuck!
  • Patrick: Donuts?
  • Scallop: Ewww...
  • SpongeBob: French Fries?
  • Scallop: No way!
  • Patrick: A donut?
  • Scallop: Uh-uh...
  • SpongeBob: All I have left is apple. Soon, a worm comes out, and tells Spongebob about himself. Then, Junior decides to eat it.

Soon, Junior cries again for an unknown reason, and Patrick solves it by fixing him a diaper, and shows that he has been doing it all the time. SpongeBob and Patrick go on a very nice day being parents for Junior Scallop. Soon, Patrick moves over to SpongeBob's house, and Junior is placed in a baby carrier they buy.

The next day, SpongeBob makes Patrick a big breakfast, and Patrick has to go to work because he's the dad. However, SpongeBob tells him that he has to do all the chores because he's the mother? Patrick then tells him he'll help him after going to work at his rock. Then, Patrick makes lots of excuses:

  • Day 1: Oh, I'll do it tomorrow.
  • Day 2: TOMORROW FOR SURE!
  • Day 14: Eventually......
  • Day 21: Uhh...
  • Day 21: SpongeBob demands Patrick that he's not acting like a very good father at all. Spongebob shows him all the

hundreds of thousands of diapers that Junior is using, including the sofa, refrigerator, wall, and of course, OUTSIDE! Patrick then yells out "what kind of father am I...??!!" and then he promises to be more mature next time. The next day, he promises 6:00, and comes home at Midnight. SpongeBob then realizes that Patrick is really watching TV all the time, and throws donuts at him. After fighting, Junior falls out of the window, and SpongeBob & Patrick cry until they realize that Junior is now full-grown. After kissing each of them, Junior Scallop leaves off on his own life, and SpongeBob now realizes that he has helped a scallop, so Patrick decides to have another. (Joke)
