At the Krusty Krab, Mr. Krabs makes “Krabby soup” out of ingredients he intercepted on the way to the garbage. Outside in the cold are three hippies sitting around a thermal vent behind the building, who Mr. Krabs attempts to drive off, but gets his head stuck in the thermal vent itself and does not see the hippies go in the Krusty Krab and jump into the mystical soup. SpongeBob attempts to add ingredients to the soup, but finds they keep disappearing. After unknowingly somehow dishing the hippies into customers’ soup bowls, the customers are thrown into a rage and demand refunds. Mr. Krabs looks to see what has happened to SpongeBob in the kitchen, who suspects the soup is haunted, and finds the hippies slipping into his soup vat. After several failed attempts to make them leave his soup, he sends SpongeBob down on a ladle, and finding him turned “full flower child” as well, gives up the effort. When SpongeBob leaves the soup to talk with Mr. Krabs, he finds the restaurant closed down and Krabs turned to a hippie living in the abandoned building. SpongeBob convinces him to re-open the Krusty Krab, and the hippies are moved to a new home- Squidward’s bath.
