This season premiered with the episodes "Extreme Spots" and "Squirrel Record" on July 21, 2012 as part of the "The Super Spongy Square Games". It will also bring up episodes 179-204 in the series. Not much is known about this season so far, yet there will be a tenth season, coming 2014 and that will be the longest season. It is also the first season to be produced in HD.
