The Lobster part probably comes from [[SpongeGuard on Duty (Episode)|SpongeGuard on Duty]] where he was one of the old, unsightly fish that Larry asks to leave and he and the old lady fish say that Larry was polite, "just like we raised him". This is probably an instance in which a character with the same design plays a different role though.
