Cuddle E. Hugs is a character that appears only in the episode Cuddle E. Hugs. Cuddle E. Hugs was actually the result a hallucination which was induced by eating rotten “Aged Krabby Patties”. The “E”, it was revealed, stands for “Eat”.
Appearance/Personality
Cuddle E. Hugs was a giant fluffy hamster with a small green hat. He was initially nice to Spongebob (being the only person who could see him) and became his “new best friend”, which provoked Patrick’s jealousy and sent him into a fit of rage at nothing. Cuddle E. Hugs later appeared to everyone in the Krusty Krab when SpongeBob sold everyone Aged Patties, causing the same hallucination. Cuddle E. Hugs then turned into an evil version of himself with sharp teeth and began devouring the customers. After apparently sleeping off the effects of the patties, everyone left, unable to see him anymore. Spongebob later met with Cuddle E. Hugs again (where he revealed “E” in his name was for “Eat” because he’s always hungry) and fed him an Aged Patty, which turned him back into a regular hamster in a cage.
