- This is the final episode of any SpongeBob-related series to air amid the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes, which saw the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) go on strike (the WGA begun its strike on May 2 and SAG-AFTRA followed suit on July 13, with the strikes ending on September 27 and November 9, respectively); the labor disputes heavily affected the television industry going into the fall (debuts of new episodes of SpongeBob and its spin-offs were not affected). At the time this episode premiered, the WGA had already ended its strike, while SAG-AFTRA was less than a day away from ending its own strike.
