==Plot==
SpongeBob is watching his favorite show, ''The Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy''. He has entered a competition, and is listening eagerly to see if he's won the mystery prize. The announcer declares the winner as "SpringBoob SquirePin". However, it is actually SpongeBob SquarePants, as the announcer did not "pronounce it correctly".

SpongeBob has won the "conch signal", a conch whose noise is a signal which Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy respond to. However, SpongeBob constantly sounds it in order to get them to do favors.

Annoyed, Barnacle Boy shouts at SpongeBob, who says that he just wants to spend time with them. They spend time together, with SpongeBob dressed as a superhero. In the street, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy see an old man, who was once ''[[Atomic Flounder|The Atomic Flounder]]''. SpongeBob attacks the old man but is stopped.

At a restaurant, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy ask SpongeBob to find their theme song on a jukebox. They run outside and hope to escape from SpongeBob, but get trapped by ''The Dirty Bubble''. SpongeBob pops the [[Dirty Bubble]] with a pencil tip, saving the day. Then SpongeBob, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy sing in Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy's [[Invisible Boat Mobile]].

*The song that was sung is a parody of a song about Batman and Robin, of which Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy are parodies of.

==Plot==
At the Krusty Krab, Mr. Krabs rushes in shouting like a maniac. He tells of the return of (fishing) hooks. SpongeBob is confused, and Mr. Krabs tells him that he should not go near a hook, or he will be brought up further than the surface and he will be eaten or sold at a gift shop. Patrick tells SpongeBob that the carnival has come to town and insists SpongeBob to come with him. He agrees, assuming that he's not quitting work but just taking a break. Much to SpongeBob's horror, though, the "carnival" is actually the set of hooks to Mr. Krabs warned everyone about. Patrick deliberately hooks himself. SpongeBob cries, until he sees Patrick again. He demands to know what happened, and he said that he floated down before he reached the surface and it is fun. Mr. Krabs catches them, and tells them off. However, the next day, Patrick persuades SpongeBob to play 'hooky' again. As a result, Patrick is taken up to the surface. Then, SpongeBob literally gets hooked, and now he thinks ''he's'' going to get pulled up to the surface as well. Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob that the only way to get the hook off is to take off his clothes right in front of Pearl and her friends, who laugh very hard. SpongeBob gets so upset that he cries out loud and runs back to his house. Whilst he is running, it then turns out that ''Squidward'' hooked SpongeBob in order to teach him a lesson; both Squidward and Mr. Krabs laugh sadistically. Meanwhile, Patrick is dropped off by a bus while trapped in a tuna can. He asks "Does somebody have a can opener?" and the episode ends.

==Trivia/Goofs==
*The events in this episode are a metaphor for skipping school or work. This is shown by SpongeBob skipping work to see the hooks and getting "hooked" by one the next day ("hooky" is a slang term for truancy).
*While promoting The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, the title character of that show appeared in the lower-right hand corner on the day of its premiere and due to one of his inventions temporarily transformed the cartoon into a puppet show during the scene where [[Mr. Krabs]] is making [[SpongeBob]] and [[Patrick]] recite an oath he is giving.

At the fry cook museum, SpongeBob and Patrick are amazed by everything. They see a greasy griddle with a golden spatula embedded in the grease. On it is a plaque, which says "Many have tried to pull this spatula out of this ancient grease, but all have failed. Only a fry cook worthy of King Neptune himself can wield the golden spatula". While SpongeBob is trying to pull the spatula out from the grease, an old lady askes her "Do you know where the menu section is?" SongeBob replied "Oh, it's over there." But when he was pointing to where the menu section was, he unexpectedly pulled it out! The old lady said "HOLY SMOKES!" and ran away. Shortly afterwards, King Neptune appeared from a cloud of smoke. He asks who pulled out the spatula, and everyone says SpongeBob. [[Image:Atlantis Palace.JPG|thumb|right|Neptune's Palace in Atlantis]] King Neptune refuses to believe this, and asks for proof. Patrick shows him the photograph he took. King Neptune then asked a hot dog seller and Larry (the big muscular lobster) if they took out the spatula from the grease, but the both said SpongeBob did it. King Neptune then gave up on asking anyone else if they pulled the spatula from the grease. He then asks SpongeBob if he wants to compete with him in a burger-cooking competition. Patrick keeps on saying how good SpongeBob is, so he's zapped many times by King Neptune. SpongeBob says yes, if Patrick is returned to normal (He agrees, but accidentally makes his face on his butt). If SpongeBob wins, he will stay at [[Atlantis]] forever and become a god. If he loses, he has to give up fry-cooking forever. In the Poseidome, [[King Neptune]] makes 1000 burgers with his mighty magic, while SpongeBob only makes one, with a lot of love (which included tucking to pickles in to bed, by putting them on top of the patty, put faces on them with the ketchup, putting slice of cheese over them and telling them a story). However, SpongeBob's tastes delicious while King Neptune's tastes terrible. So SpongeBob wins. But he does not want to leave his friends, so they arrange for King Neptune to be a trainee under SpongeBob at the [[Krusty Krab]].

==Plot==
SpongeBob wakes up, and realizes that it is April Fools Day. He begins the day with playing a prank to his snail, Gary (who cries because he does not know it is April Fools Day), then goes to work. Squidward, annoyed by the laughing, looks at the calendar. He is shocked and surprised that it is April Fools Day, and calls Mr. Krabs saying he is sick. Mr. Krabs says that there is some person in his office who wants to sell Squidward's art. Squidward immediately rushes to his office, only to find that it was a prank. Squidward resigns, but gets his job back after being persuaded by SpongeBob.

SpongeBob is then constantly doing pranks with his tongue, and his laughs really annoy Squidward. Therefore, Squidward does a prank on him. He gets a blob of mustard in the middle of a lasso. SpongeBob goes to clean it up, and the lasso closes on his leg. Squidward chops a nearby rope, which sends SpongeBob flying around getting seriously hurt. Squidward laughs hard out, while SpongeBob cries and runs away to his house. The customers aren't happy with Squidward around, so they leave, one of them yelling, "April Fools, JERK!". Squidward has to apologize, but he cannot say he is sorry. He thinks of other ways to apologize to SpongeBob, but all do not work until he decides to apologize after remembering what happened.

==Plot==
At the beach, Plankton is devising another diabolical scheme. He is planning to turn the beach into the future site of a mega-sized Chum Bucket. However, he needs everyone to leave the beach. No-one listens to him, and accidentally stomp all over him. Plankton decides to trick SpongeBob into being "assertive" in order to get the things that he (Plankton) wants. At first it does not work so well, as SpongeBob is naturally kind and naive. But then he does listen to Plankton and with rude behavior such as stealing everyone's hot dogs and popping a volleyball, everyone leaves the beach. SpongeBob is upset by this and then discovers that Plankton was using him. So he becomes "aggressively nice" by giving back everyone's hot dogs and turning into a volleyball himself. Plankton leaves the beach disgusted by the cuteness of it all.

SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy are making sandcastles at Goo Lagoon when Sandy gets homesick. She walks off, while SpongeBob tries to cheer her up. SpongeBob and Patrick blindfold her and take her to her tree dome, but Sandy knows this is not her real home.

SpongeBob and Patrick realize that Sandy's from Texas, and decide to bring some Texas to Bikini Bottom to cheer up Sandy. Sandy wants to leave Bikini Bottom and go back to Texas, but SpongeBob and Patrick have a surprise for her at the Krusty Krab. Failing to convince her to go to the Krusty Krab, Patrick shouts after the bus which Sandy just boarded, saying "What's so great about dumb old Texas, anyway?"

Sandy comes back and yells "Don't you dare take the name of Texas in vain!" Patrick then insists upon saying people from Texas are dumb. Sandy becomes even angrier and says that they "can't say nothing about Texas". This gives SpongeBob a brilliant idea. He and Patrick start insulting Texas in order to distract Sandy, and so she angrily chases them on a homicidal rampage. They hope to reach the Krusty Krab before Sandy catches them. Patrick continuously insults Texas, thinking Sandy is too slow to catch up to them, only so that both of them realize that Sandy ''is'' catching up, and fast.

While they're running as fast as they possibly can a lasso is thrown up on top of Patrick, pulling him back. Patrick suddenly exclaims" Ah! SpongeBob!", as a nuclear explosion in the background lets out. SpongeBob still hoping to reach the Krusty Krab is both screaming and running. Sandy then lassos SpongeBob’s arm, while he has firm grasp of the door with his other hand. While Sandy is tugging on the rope, SpongeBob tears the door knob off, taking the front of the Krusty Krab with him. Where the party shouts "Howdy ya’ll!", and Sandy decides that she's been home all along. But then, Patrick shouts "Yeah, who needs dumb old Texas?" Sandy gets angry once again, and Patrick asks "Should I start running now?"

==Plot==
SpongeBob and Patrick board a bus to get home from [[Glove World]], a glove-themed amusement park, they have apparently gotten on the wrong one and head off a large cliff. The cliff leads to a sort of aphotic zone called [[Rock Bottom (City)|Rock Bottom]], inhabited by anglerfish-like creatures. Patrick gets on a bus home but accidentally leaves SpongeBob behind. After several unsuccessful attempts to get on the bus, he heads to the bus station and gets in a very long line. By the time he gets to the front, he finds out that the last bus to leave for the night is already gone, and he's stuck there until morning. He gets scared by a raspberry sound coming from nowhere, and he dashes back to the cliff. The raspberry sound's maker reveals himself to be a friendly-looking anglerfish creature, which has SpongeBob's balloon from Glove World. The creature blows up the balloon, ties it to SpongeBob's wrist, and allows him to float up the cliff and back to [[Bikini Bottom]]. Unfortunately, Patrick thinks SpongeBob is still in Rock Bottom and goes back; causing bad luck for Patrick!

* When SpongeBob looks at the vending machine, it is facing him. But when he is choosing the candy he wants, it is facing the opposite side of the road that is at a 90 degree angle.

At the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob shouts "Eight doubloons! I'm rich!" Upon hearing this, Mr. Krabs jumps over to SpongeBob, saying "I saw it first!" He then realises that SpongeBob and Patrick are playing a board game, and that SpongeBob does not have any physical dubloons. Patrick tells him the name of the game (The Flying Dutchman's Treasure Hunt), and that it's based on a real treasure hunt. Mr. Krabs wins 17 times in a row, and SpongeBob wants to go home and sleep. However, Mr. Krabs seems to be addicted to the game, and keeps on persuading him to play more. SpongeBob goes to sleep, and the next morning he sees Mr. Krabs in a pirate ship. Mr. Krabs tells him that he's on a treasure hunt, and SpongeBob and Patrick decide to join him. But, they goof of while trying learn how to be pirates, and crash the boat in doing so. They follow instructions, until they get to the two-leaved seaweed (It actually has three, but Mr. Krabs pulls off a leaf so it only has two). Mr. Krabs also tells them that they're not allowed to look at the map. The map tells them to go 10,000 paces east, and Mr. Krabs asks Patrick which way is east. He looks at a compass, and points west.

After 10,000 paces, there is nothing, and Mr. Krabs says "But we did everything the map said! 10,000 paces east!" Patrick immediately replies "Oh. East? I thought you said weast!" Mr. Krabs says "Weast? What kind of compass are you reading?" "This one, sir." Mr. Krabs grabs Patrick's compass and says "That's west, Patrick. You're fired again." After going around 9,552 paces east, they set up a camp. Patrick and SpongeBob look at the map. They realize that it's their board game taped to a piece of old paper. Mr. Krabs catches them, and they beg for mercy outside. However, they find the 'X', and start digging. They find the treasure, but Mr. Krabs wants it all for himself and they argue. The Flying Dutchman is woken up, and congratulates SpongeBob and Patrick for saving him "a lot of digging". He keeps the treasure, but gives them two gold dubloons. Mr. Krabs asks for a reward (because he is the captain), but only receives a tiny plastic treasure chest (but it's based on a ''real'' treasure chest).

Squidward throws a bubble gum wrapper on SpongeBob's lawn. When SpongeBob discovers it, he asks Squidward if he wants it back. However, Squidward tells SpongeBob he can have it. When he breaks it, the Squidward painting's mouth is open and invisibly cries by his death. Squidward watches him have lots and lots of fun until the ''Mary Had A Little Lamb'' duet.

Squidward tries to get it back but SpongeBob keeps his promise. Squidward trades in everything back, and finally his own shirt-cloth and SpongeBob cannot help and it decides to break his promise. Squidward tries to have fun with the paper but cannot, he traded everything for the worthless piece of paper for nothing and soon Patrick took the paper from Squidward and uses it to put his gum on it and Patrick comes over to SpongeBob to play.

Squidward is now all alone and the season is beginning to become winter. Then Squidward says, ''"Anybody have any sunscreen?"''

==Plot==
The episode begins with a shot of SpongeBob's house. SpongeBob suddenly dashes out through the door with a pile of valentines in his arms, screams out "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!", and begins giving them to his friends, but bad things happen in turn, such as Mrs. Puff running into a fire hydrant when she gets hers. He even gives one to Plankton, which is delivered with the help of tweezers. He then comes up to Sandy's treedome and they present gifts to each other. Sandy gives SongeBob a nut with an arrow though it and says, "I'm nuts for you!," and in turn, Spongebob blows a bubble of chocolare into Sandy's moutn. He then tells Sandy his plan for Patrick's valentine gift, which involves taking him to the Valentine's Day carnival, getting him on the ferris wheel, and revealing to him a hot-air balloon made of Chocolate with a marshmallow Star on either side and a reeded basket. Sandy agrees to the plan, and SpongeBob leaves.

He then visits Patrick, who's making a rock heart for him, and SpongeBob teases Patrick by continuously telling him he can't see it yet because it's not ready yet. They then leave, and when they arrive at the carnival, Patrick goes on a frenzy to find out where the gift is, and constantly guesses the gift is something silly, like the carnival or a quarter. Meanwhile, Sandy is sailing the bubble to the carnival, but is interrupted by chocolate-eating scallops. Back at the carnival, after trying to find the gift at a nearby mountain, SpongeBob takes Patrick to the ferris wheel to see the sky, and after SpongeBob tells him to look at the sky until he sees it, Sandy tells him via walkie-talkie that chocolate-eating scallops are attacking the balloon, and a scallop pops the balloon, so SpongeBob is forced to go to Plan B, but he only has one plan.

Patrick's excitement begins to overtake him as he starts to shake up and down, causing the Ferris wheel to shake, then jump. SpongeBob has to tell him that the present is a handshake, and Patrick gets angry because he got a single handshake. They then go visit other attractions to cheer him up, but nothing works. SpongeBob's other friends visit him to thank him for the gifts they gave him. After a few friends visit, Patrick becomes extremely angry, and when SpongeBob's last friend goes to thank him, he jumps up, tosses him away, and screams, "PATRICK NEEDS LOVE TOO-OO-OOOOO!!!!" He then throws a fit and starts wrecking the carnival. Because of the damage he's inflicting, the intercom tells the crowd that there's a pink starfish on the loose, and everybody panics. He sees a mascot dressed as a giant heart, says "I defy you, Heart-man!" and destroys the heart suit. He sees a ride in the carnival that consists of a heart on a stick with small carriages rotating around it, and says "Heart on stick must die!". However, he is unsuccessful in breaking it, then sees a heart-shaped lollipop being held by a girl. Again, he says "Heart on stick must die!" and breaks it. He advances on the people a few minutes later, and they try to give him gifts, but he says "It's too late... for ALL of you," meaning he is about to destroy everyone, starting with Spongebob.

But before he gets the chance, Sandy arrives on the balloon, with spots of the balloon covered with bandages from the scallop attack. They all tell him to turn around, but he refuses until Sandy shouts "Howdy, Patrick!" He turns around and shouts "Hi Sandy", becomes awestruck, and then takes a bite of his present, and the whole carnival is covered in chocolate. Smiling at SpongeBob and completely forgetting his anger, Patrick says, "Aww, SpongeBob, you didn't have to get me anything," and the episode concludes.

*When SpongeBob is throwing Valentine's Day hearts, the pile seems to grow even though he is not putting more hearts in it.

==Plot==
SpongeBob awakens hungry in the night. While preparing a midnight snack, he leaves the refrigerator open, causing his home to freeze. By morning he has developed the "suds", a sponge sickness similer to a cold or influenza. It is unknown if fish can get this sickness. SpongeBob refuses to admit to his illness, to avoid missing work, but finally relents to take rest. He calls upon Sandy to take him to the doctor, but is first visited by Patrick.

When Patrick convinces SpongeBob that doctors are harbingers of torture and outdated magazines, SpongeBob allows "Doctor" Patrick to practice on him. The inane treatments (such as making foot sandwiches and congesting his ostia with corks. When Sandy arrives she takes SpongeBob to a real doctor, who prescribes the "sponge treatment", which is performed by a live human hand named Hans. This involves being rinsed with soap and used to scrub various objects and people. The treatment cures SpongeBob completely, and he receives a lollypop. Jealous, Patrick requests the sponge treatment as well, but for impersonating a doctor he is instead punished adequately.

==Trivia/Goofs==
*It is actually illegal and against the law to impersonate a doctor like Patrick did, as Sandy suggests.
*The fridge was left open, freezing SpongeBob's entire pineapple house. However, this would actually heat the house, as the heat removed from the inside of the refrigerator is released out the back, along with the extra heat from the motor.
*The music we hear throughout the episode is Tchaikovsky's "Dance of The Sugar-Plum Fairy" from "The Nutcracker." The music is also heard in [[Christmas Who?]] when the wooden squids play their clarinets on Squidward's wooden clarinet.

Mrs. Puff also appears in this dream and tears out SpongeBob's license, and right after he is somehow 'propelled' out of SpongeBob's dream cloud, he sees his real self. He realizes that he has no dream to go to, until he sees Gary's dream cloud. He jumps in, frightening Gary. He is in a vast library, and Gary appears to be humanoid and can speak English. SpongeBob goes out of Gary's dream cloud and into Patrick's. He is on a kiddie ride that costs 25 cents per ride. SpongeBob explains to him that in a dream, he can do whatever he wants. He demonstrates by turning into a skyscraper and making a million identical copies of himself. Patrick says he is already satisfied, and SpongeBob goes out of Patrick's dream cloud. Patrick then complains that he has run out of quarters. (This could be a hint towards Patrick's empty-mindedness.) Next, he goes to Squidward's dream cloud and sees what is going on. He is performing a clarinet solo in a theater, set in the 1700s because of the theme. He distracts the king and Squidward stops, and the king growls at him for not playing. After this happens several times, Squidward is so angry that he snaps his clarinet, but SpongeBob saves him by turning into a clarinet. It produces no sound, but SpongeBob just sings, and everybody applauds. SpongeBob goes to a different dream, this time Sandy's. They are skydiving, and they have to land on a painted target. SpongeBob asks if it is safe, and Sandy says "Yeah, as long as you have a parachute". SpongeBob says "I've got one!", then Sandy replies "Not a pair-of-shoes! A parachute!". Again, SpongeBob misinterprets the message, and holds up a bird cage. Sandy says "Not a parakeet, a para after she says this, she lands in clam manure truck. She says medic...". SpongeBob falls out of Sandy's dream and says to himself "Alright, that's it. No more messing with people's dreams." He goes to what he thinks is Mr. Krabs' dream, but actually is Pearl's dream. After realizing this, he immediately goes to Mr. Krabs' dream, where he's fishing money. The day (March 6, 2017) starts off quite well for Squidward. He is about to practice his [[Clarinet]] when SpongeBob's alarm clock (facing out the window) knocks the clarinet inside Squidward's mouth, and SpongeBob asks Squidward if he wants to go jellyfishing. Squidward tries to reply, but because his clarinet is in his mouth, anything he says is incomprehensible, and SpongeBob thinks he said "yes". After Squidward takes his clarinet out of his mouth, Squidward is constantly bothered in his house by SpongeBob and Patrick who want to go jellyfishing with him. Squidward, in an attempt to stop SpongeBob and Patrick bothering him, tells SpongeBob that he should be at work, but SpongeBob tells him that it is a Sunday, and the Krusty Krab is closed on Sundays.

Squidward tells SpongeBob and Patrick to stay where they are, and goes out the back door of his house and goes into the Krusty Krab. He sees SpongeBob and Patrick looking for him, and goes into the kitchen. SpongeBob and Patrick are still looking for him, so he goes into the freezer. After SpongeBob and Patrick go away, Squidward is frightened to find that the handle is jammed, and that he is stuck inside the freezer. He assures himself that someone will find him.

Unfortunately, this is not true and 2000 years later (on March 6, 4017) , the door falls down and a frozen Squidward is defrosted by 'SpongeTron', a descendant of SpongeBob. Squidward finds out that everything in the future (except for people) is made entirely of chrome, and all organic life forms that aren't people (such as seaweed or kelp) are simply spray-painted chrome. SpongeTron introduces Squidward to his clones; X, Y, and Z. SpongeTron informs Squidward that there are ''486'' SpongeTrons in response to the the question asked by Squidward "Are the other letters of the alphabet involved, here?", meaning that the English alphabet has been expanded, merged with another character set, or (most likely) it was hyperbole by the animators to make the future more complex. Squidward decides that he hates the future, so SpongeTron directs him to a time machine, which is actually a small room with a control panel. Squidward uses the time machine (shortly after meeting Patron, a two-headed descendant of Patrick) to travel to the prehistoric past, ripping the entire room out of the building in the process.

He meets Primitive Sponge and Prehistoric Starfish, whom are the ancestors of SpongeBob and Patrick. Squidward tells them about jellyfishing because they keep on torturing themselves with jellyfish. They seem to be interested, but are driven crazy by Squidward's clarinet, and chase after him. He goes into the time machine, but it malfunctions, and he goes to a very strange place with abstract shapes and no characters or setting (it is possibly an alternate universe, another dimension, or a time warp, but Squidward calls it 'nowhere'). After he finds the time machine, he begs it to return to the present, which it does, but Squidward finds out that in his travels, he invented jellyfishing. The episode ends when Squidward says "I'm going back."

When [[SpongeBob]] is informed that the annual [[Jellyfish]]ing convention in [[Ukulele Bottom]] is on this weekend, he replies that no-one will be here to take care of Gary, and that he can't come. He asks Squidward, who refuses. However, Squidward changes his mind when he hears that this means SpongeBob and Patrick will be gone. SpongeBob shows Squidward how to take care of Gary, but he isn't listening. When SpongeBob and Patrick go away, Squidward forgets all about Gary.

Three days later, he hears Gary meow, and realizes that he forgot the snail. He quickly tries to feed him, but Gary refuses to eat. SpongeBob calls the vet, and says Gary has to have an injection of snail Plasma. Squidward tries to poke the syringe into Gary while SpongeBob is holding him up, but SpongeBob keeps snatching Gary away, saying that Squidward is doing it too fast. He continues to do this, until Squidward accidentally injects SpongeBob. Squidward tells SpongeBob that nothing will happen to him, but something does. In the night, as SpongeBob tries to serve Gary some dinner, he eats all of it himself.(As his metabolisme was changed by the effects of the plasma.) When SpongeBob looks in a mirror, his eyes stretch, his arms and legs shrivel up and fall off, and his body stretches. He realizes that he is turning into a snail, and goes to Squidward for help. Squidward is terrified at the sight of the SpongeSnail and runs around his house trying to escape him. After a few minutes of this, he accidentally gets injected with the syringe and turns into a snail. In the next scene, Gary, SpongeSnail and SquidSnail are singing "Meow, Meow, Meow, Meow" (to the tune of "Yo ho blow the man down") and [[Patrick]] yells " Will you clam up?!" and throws a shoe at SquidSnail.

After he finishes, he runs out of the Krusty Krab, scared of the 'Boo' sign that appeared out of nowhere in the kitchen. Mr. Krabs asks him if he wants to hear his 'annual scary story', and he does. He tells of the 'Flying Dutchman', a ghost that steals souls on Halloween. Squidward, dressed up as the [[Flying Dutchman]], scares SpongeBob saying that he'll steal his soul. SpongeBob has a reputation for being easily scared, and is nicknamed 'SpongeBob ScaredyPants'. After being scared by Patrick, he asks him for help. They make a 'Flying Dutchman' costume, but it does not scare anyone. SpongeBob realizes that a real ghost has a round head, and he has a square one. So Patrick (with the help of a hair shaver) makes SpongeBob's head round. On the roof of the Krusty Krab where a Halloween party is taking place, they turn off all the lights (starting the episode's climax) and lower SpongeBob with a rope. The other end is tied to Patrick's waist on the roof, but when a jellyfish stings him, Patrick starts running in circles. SpongeBob is flying around inside the Krusty Krab, hitting the walls, and when he turns upside-down someone spots his square pants. Everybody laughs at him, but soon the real Flying Dutchman appears. He complains that SpongeBob's costume is insulting, and takes it off. However, he is scared by SpongeBob, whose brain is showing as a result of Patrick's shaving. Subsequently, everyone runs away, leaving SpongeBob satisfied to finally succeed in scaring people. Patrick and SpongeBob go outside and Patrick says "I think it's your pink hat", to which SpongeBob replies "Pink hat? Oh, that's not a hat, that's my brain." Patrick screams and runs away. SpongeBob yells "Don't worry, it grows back!" and the episode finishes.

At the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob reminds Squidward that it is Employee of the Month Award day. However, Squidward tells SpongeBob that the award is a scam, and Mr. Krabs is using it to make him work harder. SpongeBob doesn't believe him, and works harder. Mr. Krabs warns SpongeBob that Squidward might get the new Employee of the Month Award, and since SpongeBob has 26 consecutive awards (and wants a 27th), he starts worrying. Squidward says that he could get the award if he wanted to, and SpongeBob asks him to prove it.

They both decide that they will arrive at the Krusty Krab earlier than the other; SpongeBob tries to destroy Squidward's alarm clock so he won't wake up, but Squidward has 28 more in his closet. They set up traps early in the morning, but they finally get out and start running towards the Krusty Krab. They 'overwork' (''ex: Squidward cleans the tables so much that he breaks them and then he and SpongeBob use two spatulas each to make hundreds of Krabby Patties''), eventually causing the Krusty Krab to explode. As the Krabby Patties rain down from the sky, some of the citizens of Bikini Bottom believe that they are free, and while Mr. Krabs tries to makes the citizens pay for them, SpongeBob and Squidward ask him who is the Employee of the Month.

Then she lets him still wear the wig and they do the Sponge Dance. More havoc occurs, including several fish being chased by giant tomatoes and being hauled off, and an angry mob lifts them into the air.

SpongeBob and Pearl think that means they're popular until someone says "Go wreck someone else's prom will ya?". Pearl is very embarrassed. SpongeBob apologizes, then Pearl says even though it was a disaster it was really fun. Then right as they almost embrace and kiss, Mr. Krabs appears, armed with a shovel, and tells SpongeBob not to step on "his flower" on the ground. Pearl once again gets very embarrassed thinking that Mr. Krabs was telling SpongeBob to stay away from Pearl. Pearl tells SpongeBob good night, and tries to get SpongeBob's attention, but as she walks out the door SpongeBob appears to be frozen, but it is really only his dummy that he made earlier on. The alleged "fake/real" SpongeBob that appeared earlier did not even go to the prom, it was his "realistic" dummy, and he carries the dummy off roaring with laugher, indicating that he's used the dummy many other times in other episodes as well.

Squidward is proud of having just finished his wax sculpture of himself and declares he has "conquered all artistic medium" (referencing a large diversity of art styles and reproductions of famous pieces which all have Squidward for subject). While he goes to take a bath, SpongeBob and Patrick throw a shell with which they are playing Frisbee into Squidward's house, and it hits the sculpture. SpongeBob and Patrick think they've injured Squidward, and after several humorous attempts to "resuscitate" him, they believe that Squidward is dead. Squidward, fresh from his pampered bath, dramatically emerges in a rush of steam from the warm bathroom, wearing talcum powder and a white bathrobe and towel. SpongeBob and Patrick believe they are seeing Squidward's ghost and, hoping to avoid any haunting or punishments, place themselves as Squidward's willing servants. Squidward gleefully takes advantage of the situation, having them serve and pamper him, do chores, and simply entertain him. Eventually, SpongeBob and Patrick, while entering a "messy" room, come across a comic book inspired by the story of the Flying Dutchman (who haunted the seas because his body was used as a window display in a clothing store), and decide that since Squidward is a vengeful spirit, he needs to be put to rest. Thus, SpongeBob and Patrick try to give him a proper burial as well as a funeral. Squidward eventually admits his charade, but SpongeBob and Patrick believe that Squidward is simply in denial about his death. SpongeBob blows a giant bubble that engulfs Squidward and sends him floating up to 'the great beyond', right into a huge swarm of seagulls while Squidward is in a fetal position.

==Plot==
SpongeBob realizes that he is not very strong, and Sandy puts him an intense training regimen to help him become more muscular. SpongeBob cannot complete any of the exercises, however, so he gives up and runs back home in pain.

Later that day, he sees an advertisement for inflatable biceps called Anchor Arms. He orders a set, puts them on and goes to [[Goo Lagoon]]. He then begins showing them off around Bikini Bottom, gaining many followers in the process. Sandy, seeing his new "muscles", decides that he should test them out in the upcoming anchor toss competition. SpongeBob tries to stop her from entering his name, but SpongeBob did not get there in time, Sandy had just entered his name.

When it is SpongeBob's turn during the anchor toss, he over strains the Anchor Arms, causing the air inside them to randomly move to other parts of his body. Eventually, the Anchor Arms explode, and SpongeBob is disqualified. A disappointed Sandy decides to put him on a new, simpler training regimen in which SpongeBob must repeatedly press buttons on a remote control. Even this, apparently, is difficult for him.

*Running Gag: Every time SpongeBob attempts one of Sandy's exercises, his arms fall off.

==Plot==
Things are going well at the Krusty Krab. Everyone is enjoying their Krabby Patties, until an alarm blares. Everyone is panicking, and Mr. Krabs shouts to Squidward "Can you spot him?"
Squidward, looking through a telescope, replies "down there sir!" A small Krabby Patty mysteriously bounces to a wall, then makes a hole in it with a laser. It goes outside, and SpongeBob chases after it. After a long chase, SpongeBob finally catches the Krabby Patty, which is being stolen by Plankton. Plankton walks off looking really sad, and SpongeBob befriends him. A police fish makes SpongeBob 'Rookie of the day', and everyone sings 'For he's a jolly good rookie'. SpongeBob invites Plankton to jellyfish with him, and, realizing he can take advantage of SpongeBob, Plankton goes. SpongeBob warns Plankton to "watch out for the stingers". As soon as he says this, Plankton imagines himself controlling a giant jellyfish shooting laser-like electricity everywhere. Plankton does not know what fun is, so SpongeBob tries to explain it by singing the F.U.N. song. Plankton makes up a version of his own, but SpongeBob interrupts him, claiming that "those things aren't what fun is all about!". Eventually, Plankton and SpongeBob sing the song together, and Plankton seems to finally be having fun.

He is feeling all tingly inside and asks SpongeBob "Should we stop?" SpongeBob explains that this is how "FUN" is supposed to feel. Plankton realizes that he likes the feeling, and the two sing the F.U.N. song. When Mr. Krabs finds out what's happening, he sets up a trap. They go to the cinema together, and Mr. Krabs shouts "reach into his pocket now and take what he's got!". Everyone reaches into each other's pockets and finds money. SpongeBob reaches into Plankton's pocket and finds a Krabby Patty. SpongeBob realizes that Plankton used him to get a Krabby Patty, and Plankton runs off with it. However, he does not know that behind the cinema screen is a concrete wall (the movie said "Oh darling, I know nothing's gonna tear us apart.", which is ironically just what happens because of Plankton). Plankton is squashed, and Mr. Krabs flicks him off the wall onto Bubble Bass's hand, who mistakes Plankton for a jellybean and chases him around his hand.

==Plot==
The Krusty Krab has hit a rut in business, and Mr. Krabs decides that the restaurant needs a new gimmick to attract more customers. He, Squidward, and SpongeBob eventually decide upon a talent show. SpongeBob begs Squidward to let him perform on stage, and even shows him his various talents, but Squidward only gives him the job of cleaning up the set afterwards (SpongeBob believes this to be a good start to his acting career). Squidward, however, would headline the program.

On the show's night, most of the acts are complete failures. Squidward's act was interpretive dance number, the audience into complete riot. As he storms off the stage, SpongeBob appears on stage to clean the set. The audience cheers heavily for this new "act". Squidward, mistaking the applaud for his, goes back on stage, but as he does the audience turns silent. He then tries mopping the stage himself, but recieves even more negative reactions. Angry, Squidward gives up and storms off.
As SpongeBob's "act" is a huge success, it inspires Mr. Krabs to arrange for another show, the following week.

*The talent show is originally slated to be an annual event, but by the episode's end Mr. Krabs begins planning for the next week's show. It is possible that the talent show became so popular because of SpongeBob that Mr. Krabs decided to change the show into a weekly event.

*The only acts that were not failures were SpongeBob’s and Gary's.

==Plot==
At work, SpongeBob daydreams of living with the [[jellyfish]]. He accidentally starts a fire, and a fireman runs in and turns on the hose. SpongeBob is in the way, thus fills up with water and falls on the fire, putting it out. After Mr. Krabs scrapes SpongeBob off the grill, he asks SpongeBob why he was not concentrating, and SpongeBob explains that he wishes to live in the wild. Mr. Krabs thinks he is joking, until SpongeBob walks out. SpongeBob then gives Patrick mayonnaise, old phone books, and his special jellyfishing net, "Ol' Reliable". He even takes off all his clothes.

SpongeBob tries to fit in with the jellyfish, but is continuously shocked (literally) by them. Patrick is furious at SpongeBob’s decision and tries to catch him while jellyfishing. Nothing seems to persuade SpongeBob to come home, until he is bitten by poisonous sea urchins (they appear to be the underwater equivalent of mosquitoes). He decides to come back home, and everyone welcomes him back. Then, he puts on his clothes again and everyone hugs him (Squidward is forced to). For Pearl's birthday, Mr. Krabs gives her a pair of fishing boots that only cost $2. After Pearl does not accept the gift, Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob that the boots are special, and only worn by the best official fry cooks in the world. SpongeBob, excited, exchanges his paycheck for them, and starts wearing them all day and night. The squeak annoys Squidward so much that he leaves on vacation and Mr. Krabs has to fill in for him. After a sleepless night because of a squeaking window, Mr. Krabs cannot stand the squeak of SpongeBob's boots anymore. At his wit's end, he steals the boots and buries them underneath the Krusty Krab. However, he feels guilty and starts going into a strange state of guilt and a weird curse of the boots, believing that he hears nothing but the constant squeaking of the boots (every word he sees in his restaurant is even replaced by the word "squeak"). He unburied the boots, shrinks them and eats them in a bout of insanity. He thinks he finally has peace and quiet and goes on vacation with Pearl, until he hiccups, making the boots (inside his body) squeak.

Patrick comes to SpongeBob in the night and gives him some 'Alien repellent' (for windows), and they go to the rocket to spray it. Even though they're supposed to just spray the windows, Patrick goes inside and SpongeBob accidentally starts up the rocket. No-one is at the controls, so it goes into space, loops around the moon, and comes back to [[Bikini Bottom]]. SpongeBob and Patrick, convinced that they're on the Moon, think that the aliens are projecting their memories onto the environment to trick them. They start catching everyone with the net guns, believing they're aliens. The two then deduce that each other is an alien so they try to capture each other. Patrick accidentally captures himself, and SpongeBob puts him in the rocket. He starts the rocket up again, and it crashes on the moon. Suddenly, SpongeBob realizes his terrible mistake and everybody (Sandy, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Larry the Lobster, etc.) says "SpongeBob, we aliens would like to have a word with you".

==Plot==
After SpongeBob captures a jellyfish in Jellyfish Fields, the jellyfish does not want SpongeBob to go away. So, SpongeBob brings a jellyfish home as a pet and shows Squidward, who is not impressed. Now, it is party time in SpongeBob's pineapple when the jellyfish and SpongeBob break it down with music so loud, that even Squidward tries to be even louder. When it is bedtime, the jellyfish saw his friends from outside the window (his friends are probably has been looking for him) then invites all the other jellyfish into SpongeBob's house and turn on the music to party. SpongeBob awakens and checks out the noise. When he notices all the other jellyfish, he tries to get them out but nothing works, not even Squidward's music; Squidward tried to play his clarinet in a horrible way, then the jellyfish stung him and broke his clarinet. But Gary has the answer! Gary's eyes clashing together making a musical beat is the answer to having the jellyfish stay calm. After SpongeBob notices this, he carries Gary back to Jellyfish Fields with a musical song on the way. As the jellyfish follow and float back into the fields, SpongeBob and Gary run back to the pineapple where they are finally safe from the jellyfish.

After being selected Boating School Hall Monitor (after everyone else in class has been, sometimes twice), SpongeBob reads out a very long speech, and winds up wasting the entire day. Out of sympathy, Mrs. Puff allows SpongeBob to at least wear his cap and belt until the next day, though she suddenly has misgivings as she watches him go. SpongeBob immediately goes above and beyond the call of duty, first trying to guide traffic stuck at an out-of-order traffic light (and causing a massive pile-up), and then inadvertently igniting the rumor of Bikini Bottom's Open-Window Maniac. Then, SpongeBob finds Patrick littering his strawberry ice cream, and labels him as a criminal. When a front page newspaper headline alerts SpongeBob about the maniac causing trouble around town, he lets Patrick turn over a new leaf as a deputy. They end up getting ice cream twice (Patrick's idea of a scandal), but then SpongeBob and Patrick try and corner the maniac by splitting up and using walkie-talkies. Two policemen ask Patrick if he has seen the maniac: they show him a bad police sketch of SpongeBob. Darkness falls upon the town, quite literally, and Patrick becomes frightened. SpongeBob eventually meets up with Patrick again, but only via the walkie-talkie. Patrick spots the maniac from a distance, and reports his every move to SpongeBob, who of course believes the maniac is right on his tail. Shortly enough, SpongeBob realizes he himself is the maniac. The police are about to arrest SpongeBob, but Mrs. Puff tells the officers that he was her responsibility. Mrs. Puff must teach the next day's class via closed-circuit TV, from her jail cell.

It is an average day at the Krusty Krab, until Bubble Bass comes along with some sandwiches. He lies about there being no pickles in his Krabby Patty just to cause trouble for SpongeBob, and it does. Mr. Krabs takes it out of his pay because Bubble Bass read the microscopic print below the menu that says "Money Back Guarantee" on it. SpongeBob loses his confidence (and his mind), and cannot remember how to do anything. Mr. Krabs tells him to go home and get some rest. He has Squidward take over the grill, which leads to disaster, due to the fact that he reduces every patty to ash.

Mr. Krabs is worried about this, so he goes to SpongeBob's house, where everything is mixed up (such as eggs being nailed to the walls). Mr. Krabs explains to SpongeBob that if he remembers how to make a Krabby Patty, he will be back in order. It takes days, but it turned out that SpongeBob could still make a Krabby Patty with the works as he and Mr. Krabs accidentally find out. Bubble Bass then comes back and fakes the Krabby Patty not having pickles again. They find out that Bubble Bass has been hiding the pickles under his tongue the whole time, including other things that people own.

==Trivia/Goofs==
*This is the first appearance of [[Spat]] the Spatula.
*It would have been impossible for Bubble Bass to hide the pickles under his tongue for so many days.
*SpongeBob says 3 cheers for Squidward, but he actually says hip-hip 4 times.

The next day, SpongeBob and Gary pack their bags, ready to go back to Mom and Dad's house. He finds a small pebble (the only thing left when the nematodes ate/drank his house) in his pocket, and buries it where his house used to be. He sheds a tear on it, and he walks away. This pebble is actually a seed, and his tear causes his house to grow back. The house is placed back where it was, on top of dancing Squidward.

Having taken the exam thirty-seven times previously, SpongeBob is able to answer the questions before they are even asked. However, he panics in the boat and flunks the driving portion of the exam. Later that night, [[Patrick]] attempts to cheer SpongeBob up with a "surprise", but SpongeBob is too depressed to laugh. He explains his problem to Patrick and mentions that he needs someone to help him think straight during the exam. Patrick quickly devises a plan. He puts a walkie-talkie inside SpongeBob's head so that he can talk SpongeBob through the test, hiding the antenna with a cowboy hat.

The next day, SpongeBob goes back to take the test again. When asked to start the boat, he initially panics, but Patrick's instructions keep him calm. This is followed by a video montage of SpongeBob acing the exam, interspersed with shots of Patrick eating SpongeBob's food and reading his diary while helping him. [[Mrs. Puff]] is floored by his sudden improvement and jokingly suggests that SpongeBob’s success is due to an antenna under his hat through which "some guy miles away is giving him all the answers." SpongeBob (and Patrick) finds this hilarious, until Mrs. Puff concludes, "But that would be cheating!" Upon realizing that he has been cheating, SpongeBob goes into hysterics, driving wildly all over the course and sobbing while Mrs. Puff tries desperately to stop him. The episodes starts out when [[Squidward]] has made a very good soufflé, but [[SpongeBob]] and [[Patrick]]'s laughing distracts him from enjoying it. Squidward sees they are having a private conversation with bubbles. They whisper a message into the bubble wand instead of blowing into it, and when the bubble pops, the message can be heard.

Annoyed, Squidward makes bubbles of his own, imitating SpongeBob and Patrick, but insulting them both. Thinking the bubbles are from each other, SpongeBob and Patrick become angry and get into a fight, eventually declaring that they are no longer friends. Squidward eats his soufflé while laughing, but in doing so chokes on the fork. Patrick performs CPR on him, and he becomes Squidward's friend.

Patrick falls asleep while Squidward plays a composition called "Solitude in E Minor" on his [[Clarinet]], and Squidward drags him out. While doing this, he sprains his back, and SpongeBob sees this as an opportunity to help him. He fixes Squidward's back and so becomes Squidward's friend.

In a fit of anger, while Patrick and SpongeBob compete again for Squidward's friendship, SpongeBob breaks Squidward's cello (which he thinks is a "bassinet"), and Squidward kicks him out. Squidward then tries to take a bath, but Patrick is in the tub. SpongeBob and Patrick argue again, driving Squidward crazy.

Squidward decides to invite Patrick and SpongeBob to a dinner party (without telling either of them that the other is coming) in order to repair their friendship. When they arrive, they are still mad at each other. Squidward tries to get them back together, but the situation devolves into a competition to see who can drink the most soda and thus become Squidward's best friend. Squidward runs out of soda and leaves to get some more. While he is gone, SpongeBob and Patrick hiccup small bubbles that make a burping sound when they burst. They find this amusing and become friends again, but because they drank so many glasses of pop (SpongeBob drank 14 glasses and Patrick drank 12), their burps create a whole load of bubbles that make Squidward's house collapse. At the end, Squidward never put his key in the door, but he was able to open it anyway.

Squidward then tries to take a bath, but Patrick is in the tub. SpongeBob and Patrick argue again, driving Squidward crazy.

Squidward decides to invite Patrick and SpongeBob to a dinner party (without telling either of them that the other is coming) in order to repair their friendship. When they arrive, they are still mad at each other. Squidward tries to get them back together, but the situation devolves into a competition to see who can drink the most soda and thus become Squidward's best friend. Squidward runs out of soda and leaves to get some more. While he is gone, SpongeBob and Patrick hiccup small bubbles that make a burping sound when they burst. They find this amusing and become friends again, but because they drank so many glasses of pop (SpongeBob drank 14 glasses and Patrick drank 12), their burps create a whole load of bubbles that make Squidward's house collapse. At the end, Squidward never put his key in the door, but he was able to open it anyway.

*Squidward took nothing with him to go to the grocery store. After SpongeBob and Patrick get their friendship again by laughing carbon dioxide, Squidward has a grocery bag and keys. Soon, on the floor, there is no grocery bag or key.
*When Patrick and SpongeBob are being friends with Squidward by music, the music section room has the eyes. However, after SpongeBob is not Squidward's friend, the eyes are now in the bathroom where SpongeBob pops out.
*While Patrick saves Squidward, there is no glass cornering and blocking inside Squidward's House backyard square window. In the last full shot of the Conch Street backyards, the window has glass.
*Squidward's house cannot be seen when SpongeBob and Patrick were fighting.

==Plot==
At the Krusty Krab, Squidward gives SpongeBob an order for a [[Krabby Patty]]. After making the patty, it begins to "move" and makes its way towards the front door. Mr. Krabs pulls Plankton off of the burger and sends him back to the Chum Bucket. Krabs explains that Plankton is his arch-competitor, and has been trying to steal the Krabby Patty's secret formula for years.

That night, after the Krusty Krab closes, Plankton tries to convince SpongeBob that they are friends, and that as such SpongeBob should give him a Krabby Patty. SpongeBob refuses and runs back home, but Plankton promises that SpongeBob will "hand deliver a Patty" to him.

Later that night, Plankton enters SpongeBob's head through a pore and makes his way to
[[SpongeBob]]'s Brain. He attaches a mind control device to the brain and bends SpongeBob to his will, forcing him to walk to the Krusty Krab, get a Krabby Patty, and bring it to the Chum Bucket's Laboratory.

Plankton shows SpongeBob his computer, which can display the components of whatever he places in a nearby bowl. As a demonstration, he drops a piece of seaweed into the machine, to which Karen complies: 50% sea, 50% weed. Before he can force SpongeBob to drop the Krabby Patty in, SpongeBob begins a sorrowful ode to the Patty describing its tastiness. A hungry Plankton leaps onto the burger, bounces off its bun and falls into the bowl, which displays his components (1% evil, 99% hot gas) on the computer screen. With Plankton stuck inside the computer, SpongeBob walks home.

==Trivia/Goofs==
*This is the first appearance of Karen and Plankton, and also the second episode [[Doug Lawrence]] voiced in. The first was [[Ripped Pants]].
*SpongeBob's laugh is very different in this episode.
*SpongeBob's line to Plankton when he is in his brain, "Leave my brain alone!", has become a staple on T-shirts and in pop culture for media manipulation.
*When SpongeBob is walking towards his pants, the tie is red, but when the pants are just under his nose, it is black. This also happened in the episode [[Rock-A-Bye Bivalve]].
*Squidward's bedroom is on the first floor of his house instead of on the second floor.
*In addition, this episode depicted Patrick's rock hollow and that Patrick slept on the rock rather than under it.
*Plankton changes sizes throughout the episode. When he is first seen, a magnifying glass is required to see him clearly. When he encountered SpongeBob, he's about the size of SpongeBob's finger. When he sneaks into SpongeBob's brain, he's about the size of a walnut. Then when he jumps to the Krabby Patty, he is the size of SpongeBob's finger again.
