'''Gary the Snail''' is [[SpongeBob]]s pet House Snail who is voiced by [[Tom Kenny]]. Gary can only speak in a 'meow' noise, while sea worms in the show commonly bark which indicates that snails are the ocean equivalent of cats and worms are dogs. In some Episodes Gary has been known to say something other than 'Meow' but this is rare. Gary is the sixth main character of the show.

As seen in the Episode '[[Opposite Day]]' where Gary attemted to do the oppostie of his stereotypes by barking like a dog.

In [[The Secret Box]], Gary responded to SpongeBob's question with 'Meo-no'. SpongeBob didn't think much of it and replied "Aaw, what do you know? You're A Snail!" SpongeBob didn't recognise it as special meaning this isn't the first time Gary spoke. In The Movie, The Citizens of Bikini Bottom were chanting 'All Hail Plankton', while Gary chanted monotoniously "Meow [[Plankton]]"

In many episodes, it has been indicated that Gary is very intelligent, the biggest hint of which was in '[[Sleepy Time]]' where Gary spoke in his dream (that SpongeBob was intervening) and sounded very old and wise. He had an extensive library which is a possible metaphor for intelligence. Typically, because he is smart, he is not very athletic and contant excersize and physical work makes him tired and wheeze meaning he is a possible athsmatic. He is a domesticated housepet with similair mannerisms to a cat but also is said to be royal blood as seen in [[Rule of Dumb]]. Curiously in rule of a Dumb, it proves that Gary and Patrick are cousins, as their Fathers were brothers.

It is suggested that SpongeBob had Gary when he lived with his parents as a young boy. As seen in [[Gary Takes a Bath]], Gary can levetate and Teleport, possibly meaning that psychic powers run in the Star family, as [[Patrick]] also has psychic abilities. Gary didn't appear again after the episode: [[Help Wanted]] until the episodes: [[Plankton!]] and [[Boating School]]. Gary has been to many places including the large [[Bass Vegas]].

Gary had a very minor role in the episode: [[Atlantis SquarePantis]], but is showed all of his family and relatives who were partying with him all the time. Gary was seen blowing on a happy birthday paper flute and was wearing a party hat. Gary is also a very good player in instruments, although he wasn't part of Squidward's band in the episode : [[Band Geeks]]. In The Paper, he played Squidward's [[Clarinet]] very very well, and Squidward was confused by this. In the episode: [[Procrastination]], Gary played the trumpet. In the episode: [[Something Smells]], Gary played the violin to make SpongeBob cry while chopping onions because SpongeBob told him to.

Gary is usually left home all alone very numerously, and it seems that he's always okay. However, in [[Have You Seen This Snail?]] he couldn't. Sometimes, he is very lonely. In [[The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie]], he was left alone for probably a whole week, after the morning when Plankton was being arrested,but in Have You Seen This Snail?, he suffered hunger for 10 days and 1 night. In the episode: [[Clams]], he was left out for 3 days, and ate the sofa.

==Plot==
Mr. Krabs is making a commercial for the Krusty Krab and Squidward direct it. When Mr. Krabs finds out how much money Squidward is using, he decides to direct it himself. SpongeBob only has two cameo appearances in the commercial. After the commercial airs, SpongeBob thinks he is famous after he is addressed by Old Man Jenkins (who he mistaken for the cereal box in a commercial for [[Bran Flakes]]). Then he hears two fish talk about "Glandy Mcpinkfish" and how he should cut a solo record, but SpongeBob again thinks that they are talking about him. He quits being a fry cook and starts entertaining, much to the chagrin of the customers and Squidward. When SpongeBob tries juggling, he accidentally slips and falls on the ground. Just as he thinks that his career is over, a patty drops on the grill. However, the customers are pleased, and SpongeBob actually makes Krabby Patties for them without knowing he is acting as a fry cook.

*In this episode, SpongeBob is called a cereal box. SpongeBob was also called a cereal box in the episode [[Pre-Hibernation Week]].
*The second Krusty Krab disappears for the rest of the episode.
*Mr. Krabs is shown with his pet worm, Mr. Doodles for only the second time in the series (the first time was in the episode [[Sandy's Rocket]]).
*The second Krusty Krab is similar to the "Krusty Krab 2" from The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. It should be noted that this episode was released two years before the film.

Patrick does so, and ends up getting a huge nose that eventually annoys everyone in Bikini Bottom, especially Mr. Krabs, Sandy, and Squidward by getting rid of all the bad smells. They have a meeting with SpongeBob attending with them and he suggests something that smells so bad that it would eliminate the problem with Patrick. They do so and it causes Patrick's nose to shrivel up, fall off, and vanish. Patrick says he wanted to simply be like them and runs away crying. The others feel bad and hold a funeral for Patrick's nose, with Squidward, not surprisingly, being the only one who doesn't feel any bad but just feeling self-centered about himself. He insults Patrick, and Patrick is heard exclaiming "I heard that!" when he is shown with huge ears.

==Plot==
After waking up from sleeping due to SpongeBob laughing outside, Squidward tells SpongeBob that he is '''not''' normal. Being convinced that what Squidward said is true, SpongeBob watches a [[How To Be Normal For Beginners|video tape about becoming "normal"]]. In the video, we see the host of the video saying that normal people have no freckles, holes, or any difference on their bodies, and they pretty much go to work, get the job done, and then go back home to a square blue house with a square green front lawn. The next day, Squidward finds SpongeBob working on a computer, just like the video. Squidward, freaking out about this, decides to go back to work at The Krusty Krab. Later on, Squidward goes home, only to find that SpongeBob has also mimicked the house in the video. Three weeks later, we find that SpongeBob is acting exactly like the video, having no holes or freckles and an oval for a body.

He commonly asks how the weather is to anyone who happens to walk by. Squidward, approving of the new SpongeBob, says that he might enjoy the new SpongeBob. SpongeBob then goes to a bus stop and finds Patrick acting silly. After a cup of tea at Squidward's house, he realizes that he no longer wants to be normal anymore. Upon realization, he asks Patrick to become the way he used to be... a weird person. Therefore, SpongeBob and Patrick do silly things like sliding on water in their underwear, jellyfishing, and several other things, each time adding a hole to his body. When SpongeBob is about to become his original self, he becomes normal again and starts crying. Squidward, being normal now just like SpongeBob, comes to Patrick's house, with the "normal" look. Shocking SpongeBob, SpongeBob immediately becomes his original self again, and then admits that he is finally glad to be normal again.

She looks a lot like SpongeBob but it is shown that she is not SpongeBob because as she is running away, [[SpongeBob]] and [[Mr. Krabs]] drive up and have no idea who she is and she has a different voice and an accent.

[[SpongeBob]] and [[Patrick]] want to go jellyfishing, but watch the weather report first. They find out a horrible storm is coming, so they board up. [[Squidward]] barges in, and gets stuck inside when the storm hits. Then the play tic-tac-toe, and then a jigsaw puzzle, where patrick struggles to put in the last piece. Squidward has had enough, and decides to play boundaries, where he orders SpongeBob and Patrick to not pass the line. Squidward goes inside SpongeBob's bedroom, and finds he is hungry. He accidentaly eats snail food, and tries to get out to the kitchen, where SpongeBob stops him. Then Squidward, SpongeBob, and Patrick go on a wild chase to get food. Then it quiets down, and Squidward thinks the storm passed over. He opens the door and ends up falling off the house in the sky, becuase a tornado somehow picked up the house.

*The title is a parody of "Cabin fever".
*How does Squidward's pockets fit into his body? He also mentions that he needs another pair of pants when he actually doesn't wear one!
*When Patrick can't finish the jigsaw puzzle, he turns really old. Impossible. You can't age that fast when you're hesitating.

Squidward: It went in my mouth! Choking on sentiment! I think I'm poisoned!

SpongeBob: Well okay you sit this one out Squidward, this will be a special delivery from the chef. (talking to customer) For your dining pleasure, 2 double Krabby Patties cooked to perfection complimented by a side of coral bits and a jumbo diet soda, topped off with a little extra love. (reaches into his chest and pulls out a heart and sprinkles some of it on the Krabby Patties. He then Pants) Enjoy your meal! (sighs) It's the little details that they really appreciate, isn't it Squidward?

Squidward: (breathes) Oh yeah, you really touched his life. (cuts to scene of customer eating his Krabby Patties like a pig)

SpongeBob: Nothing beats making quality food for good people with discriminating tastes.

Squidward: Quality food?

SpongeBob: Uh-Huh!

Squidward: Good People?

SpongeBob: Yep!

Squidward: Discriminating tastes?

SpongeBob: Testify!

Squidward: Doh'! (breathes angrily, then runs up to customer then takes a Krabby Patty) Only pathetic losers with horrible taste would eat this garbage! (Squidward takes away a Krabby Patty, then customer cries. SpongeBob comes and rocks customer like baby)

SpongeBob: Squidward! The Krusty clientele needs to be cuddled and treated with respect. (takes Krabby Patty from Squidward and puts it in customers mouth like a baby bottle) There there. (to Squidward) Mr. Krabs will be ashamed! (Mr. Krabs walks in)

Mr. Krabs: All right you filthy bilge rats!

SpongeBob: Mr. Krabs?

Mr. Krabs: You got three seconds to get out of me restaurant before I kick you out! Fine, have it your way! (goes around to the back of the Krusty Krab and starts tipping it and all the customers fall out and then puts it back and walks into the Krusty Krab)

SpongeBob: What's happening, Mr. Krabs?

Mr. Krabs: Ah, we don't need those losers anymore! I'm turning the restaurant in to one of those fancy frou-frou places! Where they charge big bucks for itsy-bitsy portions!

Squidward: Fancy frou frou?

Mr. Krabs: We're getting a gourmet chef from the chef exchange program and I'm going to raise me prices to the roof! (laughs)

SpongeBob: Chef exchange program?

Mr. Krabs: (stops laughing) Oh. Uh yeah, well you'll be shipped off to some other restaurant somewhere far away from here! Uh details are kinda hazy, but I packed your bags and your bus leaves in five minutes! (bus arrives) Heh, looks like it's early. (kicks SpongeBob on bus and it drives off)

Squidward: It was that easy? All these years? I've underestimated the power of public transportation! (other bus arrives with Le Schnook on it)

Mr. Krabs: Welcome to the Krusty Krab.

Squidward: Does your middle name happen to be "No SpongeBob within a thousand kilometers of here"? (Mr. Krabs and Squidward laugh)

Le Schnook: I find you disgusting! (they stop laughing) However, my culture dictates that I must kiss you regardless! (kisses Squidward two times then spits two times then does the same for Mr. Krabs)

Mr. Krabs: Well, he's just as affectionate as the boy.

Squidward: But the surly attitude he has a step in the right direction! (cuts to scene of the bus dropping off SpongeBob at the Fancy! restaurant. SpongeBob then walks into the kitchen)

Fancy! Head Chef: What is this rubbish?! I would not wipe my own bottom with this! (slaps chef with a steak) Start over! And this (drinks boiled water then spits it on chef) I would not wash my own bottom with this after carefully wiping and wiping and wiping! (slaps chef) Now go stand in the corner and think about what you have done! And where is my exchange chef?!

SpongeBob: Um, right here, sir.

Fancy Head Chef: (laughs) There you are. Bon jour! (kisses SpongeBob two times, Spongebob giggles and the chief slaps him) Now, get to your station and prepare me your best dish! (SpongeBob runs to a pot, puts some ingredients into it then takes out a Krabby Patty and blows a kiss and a heart shows up. The chef then grabs it and crushes it) This is not funny! And I certainly did not exchange my top sous chef for a, how you say, comedian! (puts Krabby Patty in SpongeBob's mouth and then pulls is nose causing him to eat it) Prepare me a gourmet dish, NOW! (SpongeBob runs over to a counter with vegetables on it)

SpongeBob: (starts chopping vegetables) I'm sure with all my years in the kitchen, I can make something other than... (chops vegetables into a Krabby Patty then laughs nervously) Just warming up. (Chief gets angry, he then screams than gets a tray of stuff and puts in in the oven) Come on, SpongeBob! (whistles and then takes out a Krabby Patty and throws it on the ground, Chief gets angry again, he then cracks an egg into a pan) Just one egg then... (egg turns into a Krabby Patty and SpongeBob gets mad and throws it on the ground along with many other Krabby Patties)

Fancy Head Chef: You are making a mockery of my... (Krabby Patty accidentally lands in his mouth and he eats it) This taste is fantastic! What do you call it? (he then eats another one)

SpongeBob: A Krabby Patty.

Fancy Head Chef: (is eating more Krabby Patties) The whole world must taste this! (time card then shows up saying "Meanwhile, at the Krusty Krab". We then see that it is all decorated fancy)

Mr. Krabs: Hey Squidward, look at this! (holds up a plate with a small fruit on it) We're charging 52 smackeroos for this little guy (laughs and then Squidward smells it's horrible smell)

Squidward: Oh! What is that?!

Mr. Krabs: I don't know! Some kind of bean paste or something.

Le Schnook: Ho monsieur! It is the rare fruit of the kazook tree.

Mr. Krabs: So, it's supposed to smell like rotten gym socks?

Le Schnook: Its naturally rancid odor can only be neutralized by shredded gold.

Mr. Krabs: Shredded gold? (Le Schnook then starts shredding gold. Mr. Krabs screams and takes it away from him) Couldn't we use less expensive ingredients?

Le Schnook: Price can be no object when it comes to dealing with exquisite food like this. It must be prepared with only the finest ingredients. And eaten with only the finest silverware! While sitting on the finest furniture! (Le Schnook tries to sit in one of the chair but it is just a billboard) This is not the chair I ordered...

Mr. Krabs: Yeah, well you see those were out of stock.

Le Schnook: And this fork of plastic, spray painted to look silver, is it not? I can not prepare food under these conditions! (cuts back to the Fancy! restaurant where there is a big line and everybody is eating a Krabby Patty)

Fancy Head Chief: Monsieur SpongeBob, although it is in direct violation of our chef exchange program rules, let me assure you that these kisses are not merely a formality. They are genuine! (kisses SpongeBob twice) I am sure that this is only the beginning of a long and... (SpongeBob's alarm on his wrist watch rings)

SpongeBob: Well, my time here is up. I am officially a Krusty Krab employee once again! (is about to walk out but the chief stops him)

Fancy Head Chef: I apologize, Monsieur SpongeBob, but you can see that my customers had grown rather fond of your Krabby Patties.

SpongeBob:(SpongeBob gasps) The Krabby Patties, I almost forgot! These babies also belong to the Krusty Krab! (starts taking all the Krabby Patties and putting them in a sack and then puts it in his suitcase) So long! (customers gasp and SpongeBob begins to leave and one customer holds on to his leg)

Customer: Wait, just one more?

SpongeBob: I'm sorry but I've got to go. (all customers hold on to his leg. However he manages to get out. Scene then switches to the Krusty Krab and it is out of business because it went bankrupt. We then see Mr. Krabs crying in his office.)

Mr. Krabs: I'm ruined! Busted! (phone then rings and Mr. Krabs answers it) Hello?

Pearl: (on phone) Daddy, the house is full of burglars. (Mr. Krabs laughs)

Mr. Krabs: No, those aren't burglars, Pearl. Those are just friendly repo men. (Mr. Krabs then hangs up and then notices Squidward being held onto by his arms by two men)

Squidward: Mr. Krabs, tell these guys to let go of me!

Mr. Krabs: Uh, well you know, until I come up with the money I owe, I'm afraid you'll be staying with these nice gents.

Squidward: You sold me?!

Mr. Krabs: No! Bartered is more like it. They keep you, I keep my kneecaps.

Man who's holding Squidward: Come on mac! (takes him away)

Squidward: You're pathetic! (Le Schnook then walks in)

Mr. Krabs: Oh, Mr. Le Schnook... I lost everything! I'm bankrupt! You and your fancy eats are all I got left now.

Le Schnook: Not quite. My time in the chef's exchange program has expired. So my eats and I are leaving. (hands Mr. Krabs a bill) This is for you.

Mr. Krabs: Is it money?

Le Schnook: It is the bill for my services. (Mr. Krabs unfolds the bill. His eyes become bloodshot, and he is unable to move.)

Man who was holding Squidward: One side, please (Repo men take Mr. Krab's desk and chair away while he is sitting in it, a repo man brings Mr. Krabs back into the restaurant lobby)

Mr. Krabs: (Crying) Oh, I've been such a fool! I turned away SpongeBob, the best fry cook I ever had, and it cost me everything!

SpongeBob: Mr. Krabs?

Mr. Krabs: Oh, I can still here his sweet little voice.

SpongeBob: (High pitched) Mr. Kra-a-abs?!

Mr. Krabs: Okay, now I'm scared.

SpongeBob: MR. KRABS!!

Mr. Krabs: Oh no way. See, I've learned that you can't buy customer loyalty with fancy tables, frou-frou food, or even sanitary conditions. Hey get back you, eat your own. (Mr. Krabs throws them a bucket of Krabby Patties, the customers squeal like pigs.) Nope, just good food prepared with love. Ain't that right SpongeBob?

SpongeBob: You got it, Mr. Krabs. (Blows another kiss and Squidward swallows it and starts choking and Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob laugh.)

==Plot==
The Krusty Krab opens at a seemingly average morning and SpongeBob is extremely happy. He gets the Krabby Patties ready and soon gets an order of two Krabby Patties plus an insult from Squidward, which is to no effect. His excitement eventually causes him to accidentally throw his spatula into the ceiling and when trying to get it out he falls, nearly being injured by scissors and swords. Upon landing all is well but he trips. His finger drags across the wooden floor and it rams into a small slab that breaks in half, giving him a splinter that immediately makes his finger red and swollen. His weak arms keep him from getting it out and even biting it didn't work. The customer that ordered earlier is getting impatient and the splinter keeps SpongeBob from holding the spatula needed to serve him. He decides to tie it on his nose and Squidward soon finds out about it. Squidward then convinces SpongeBob that he will get sent home by Mr. Krabs if he sees the splinter and flushes his hat and spatula. SpongeBob begs him not to get him sent home but is unsuccessful. Squidward also hints that he'll tell Mr. Krabs about the splinter. After Squidward gets his full enjoyment about the situation, Mr. Krabs drives a customer away with his cheap behavior. SpongeBob calls Patrick to get treated for it but the treatment only ends up with his splinter further into his finger, making it swell more and even infecting it. SpongeBob soon runs into Mr. Krabs and Squidward. Mr. Krabs soon sees the splinter and takes it out curing him and causing an eruption of pus to impact Mr. Krabs. Squidward discovers that he could get sent home early and still get paid by getting injured, called worker's compensation, so he tries to injure himself only to find out his shift had ended two minutes ago. * This is the second time Patrick becomes a doctor and treats his patient SpongeBob. The first time was in [[Suds]].
* Why is it that SpongeBob cannot pull the splinter out of his finger, but he can pull the anchor out of the ship in [[Nautical Novice]]?
*While SpongeBob was pulling the splinter out of his thumb, he accidentally removed his skin revealing his skeleton, but sponges do not have bones.

==Plot==
SpongeBob and Squidward are getting really hot at the [[Krusty Krab]], so [[Mr. Krabs]] takes them to the beach to sell Krabby Patties. There, they find Sandy and Patrick. When Patrick wants to buy a Krabby Patty, Patrick gets on and the surfboard tips and flings SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs all to different places. Mr. Krabs is in ''The Dutchman's Triangle'', Sandy is on an island; so are SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward, but they're on different islands. SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward meet 5 people and they tell them that the only way back to Bikini Bottom is to surf there. SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward swim to JKL learn how to surf to get back to Bikini Bottom. JKL tells them just to keep breathing. Then, they learn how to surf and then the Big One comes. SpongeBob gets them back to Bikini Bottom and everyone throws them a party.
