==Plot==
At the Krusty Krab, Pearl is crying hard out. Mr. Krabs asks her what is wrong, and she replies that her boyfriend (Octavius Rex) has just dumped her, and the prom is tomorrow night. Mr. Krabs suggests taking Squidward or himself to go, however SpongeBob is the one that has to go with her. Pearl hates being embarrassed, and does not want to be embarrassed by SpongeBob, but her wish not to be embarrassed does not get granted. SpongeBob toasted himself, wore artificial legs, and wore a back wig to make himself look "long, tan and handsome" for Pearl. At the prom he spills fruit punch everywhere and causes hilarious disaster wherever his tall sponge-ish legs take him. He can't seem to control his crazy costume and makes Pearl unpopular. SpongeBob, after having broken everything at the prom, runs off into the restroom sobbing and absorbing. A bunch of lady fish run off embarrassed (because he went into the ladies' bathroom), and then Pearl manages to successfully understand SpongeBob's gibberish.

Then she lets him still wear the wig and they do the Sponge Dance. More havoc occurs, including several fish being chased by giant tomatoes and being hauled off, and an angry mob lifts them into the air.

SpongeBob and Pearl think that means they're popular until someone says "Go wreck someone else's prom will ya?". Pearl is very embarrassed. SpongeBob apologizes, then Pearl says even though it was a disaster it was really fun. Then right as they almost embrace and kiss, Mr. Krabs appears, armed with a shovel, and tells SpongeBob not to step on "his flower" on the ground. Pearl once again gets very embarrassed thinking that Mr. Krabs was telling SpongeBob to stay away from Pearl. Mr. Krabs says Pearl could one day have intercourse with SpongeBob. Pearl cries embarrassed, but SpongeBob is frozen. Later a 2nd SpongeBob arrives and takes the frozen SpongeBob and calls him a dummy.

==Plot==
At work, SpongeBob daydreams of living with the [[jellyfish]]. He accidentally starts a fire, and a fireman runs in and turns on the hose. SpongeBob is in the way, thus fills up with water and falls on the fire, putting it out. After Mr. Krabs scrapes SpongeBob off the grill, he asks SpongeBob why he was not concentrating, and SpongeBob explains that he wishes to live in the wild. Mr. Krabs thinks he is joking, until SpongeBob walks out. SpongeBob then gives Patrick mayonnaise, old phone books, and his special jellyfishing net, [[Ol' Reliable]]. He even takes off all his clothes.

SpongeBob tries to fit in with the jellyfish, but is continuously shocked (literally) by them. Patrick is furious at SpongeBob’s decision and tries to catch him while jellyfishing. Nothing seems to persuade SpongeBob to come home, until he is bitten by poisonous sea urchins (they appear to be the underwater equivalent of mosquitoes). In the cave, he finds "The Paradise Cave". At first, he thinks it's a trick by his friends to come home, but it's actually the fishermen, trying to get SpongeBob again. Luckily, his friends save him and in return, SpongeBob comes home.

*After SpongeBob leaves, Squidward and Sandy try to guess how much days before he comes back. Sandy guesses a week, but Squidward guesses 11 minutes. This is a reference to approximately how long an average episode is. ==Plot==
When Sandy creates a rocket and tells SpongeBob that she's going to the moon, SpongeBob begs her to take him with her. Sandy tells him that there's not enough room, and SpongeBob compacts himself so he can fit into a small container. Sandy explains that she needs all of the containers and drawers, and tells him that this trip is for science, not fun. SpongeBob keeps on begging her, and she eventually accepts to take him. SpongeBob runs around the walls chanting "Going to the moon! Moon ride! Moon ride!", and annoys Sandy. Sandy has small net guns that she uses to harvest moon rocks, and denies the existence of aliens on the moon. Patrick comes to SpongeBob in the night and gives him some 'Alien repellent' (for windows), and they go to the rocket to spray it. Even though they're supposed to just spray the windows, Patrick goes inside and SpongeBob accidentally starts up the rocket. No-one is at the controls, so it goes into space and crashed into the moon. They are abducted by aliens, who are actually the fishermen, but they don't know it. Sandy rescues them, but in the end no one realizes it.

*When Patrick is messing around with a control in Sandy's rocket while "playing a game", a sound effect in the background is the rotating block sound from Tetris.
*When SpongeBob and Patrick first become weightless in the rocket, a book floats by with "2001" written on its cover. This is a reference to Arthur C. Clark's novel ''2001: A Space Odyssey''.

==Plot==
It is an average day at the Krusty Krab, until trouble-maker Bubble Bass has a special order for SpongeBob. When he gets his order, Bubble Bass lies about there being no pickles on it to cause trouble for SpongeBob, and it does. Much to Mr. Krabs' dismay, Bubble Bass knows about the microscopic "Money Back Guarantee" on on the menu, and Bubble Bass requests a refund (to be taken out of SpongeBob's paycheck). SpongeBob loses his confidence (and his mind) and cannot remember how to do anything. Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob to go home and get some rest. Squidward takes over the grill, leading to disaster, since he burns everything.

Mr. Krabs is worried about the effect that Squidward's cooking is having on business, so he resolves to get SpongeBob back to work. When Mr. Krabs arrives at SpongeBob's house, everything is in total disarray: eggs and toast are nailed to the walls, furniture is tipped over, music is playing backwards, and SpongeBob is wearing underwear on his head. Mr. Krabs explains to SpongeBob that if he remembers how to make a Krabby Patty, he will be back in order. It takes several days, but SpongeBob finally remembers how to make a Krabby Patty with the works. When SpongeBob returns to work, Bubble Bass requests the same food and lies about having no pickles again. Upon taking one look at Bubble Bass's mouth, SpongeBob cleverly realizes that Bubble Bass is putting the Pickles under his tongue. SpongeBob pulls up Bubble Bass' tongue, revealing several orders worth of pickles and the car keys of a Krusty Krab patron.

At night-time, a crowd of nematodes are hungry. They plow through a variety of items, even devouring the boat of a fish named Fred while Fred is still driving it. Then they decide that they are thirsty, so they drink the juice out of SpongeBob's pineapple house. This causes it to shrink until it becomes nothing. SpongeBob and Gary now have to get a new home. At first, SpongeBob and Patrick try to build a new house, but they build a very small one. Then SpongeBob shares Patrick's rock, but '''''Patrick's stupidity and horrible luck''''' causes him to go to Squidward. Squidward accepts (only because he's semi-conscious), and when he realizes what he's done, he kicks them out. The next day, SpongeBob and Gary pack their bags, ready to go back to Mom and Dad's house. He finds a small pebble (the only thing left when the nematodes ate/drank his house) in his pocket, and buries it where his house used to be. He sheds a tear on it, and he walks away. This pebble is actually a seed, and his tear causes his house to grow back. The house is placed back where it was, on top of dancing Squidward.

==Plot==
The Krusty Krab makes its very first (and only) pizza delivery of the [[Krusty Krab Pizza]] after closing time. Despite that they do not serve pizza Mr. Krabs when hearing apparently a big price offer invents a pizza by mashing Krabby Patties into a cheese, pepperoni like pizza and putting it in a box. Squidward is told to deliver it; as he wants to simply go home he asks SpongeBob to do it but Mr. Krabs misinterprets this and says "Great idea...take him with you!!" SB and Squidward prepare to deliver the pizza.

However, Squidward despite the obvious fact that SB still cannot drive yet, orders SB to drive and directs him to simply "Back it up." When he tries to shift into reverse to back up the car he backs up but when he stops he and Squidward are already in the middle of nowhere or a desert the next morning and the car is out of gas. During this drive SB reads the words of shift and gear as Korean language. Squidward in genuine regret and anger kicks the boat but ends up causing the boat to somehow get the energy to move once more and it drives off back to the Krusty Krab where it came from. SpongeBob suggests to deliver the pizza on foot, and they start walking across the desert to try to find help. SpongeBob starts singing a song about the Krusty Krab Pizza, and how it is the best pizza on the sea floor. Hours later they get whirled into a hurricane/tornado, and Squidward tells SpongeBob to let go of the pizza, but the pizza saves their lives when SpongeBob transforms it into a parachute. SpongeBob shows Squidward some pioneer tricks, such as hitchhiking, eating coral, telling where civilization is by looking at what direction moss points, and even driving rocks.

The eternally skeptic Squidward does not believe SpongeBob, but has to reconsider when he is run over by the somehow driving rock and he grabs on as they end up driving the rock all the way to the customer's house. It turns out to be a trick by the fishermen, as they are captured. They eat their pizza, but it sucks because it's wet. The spit damaged the boat sending them underwater.

SpongeBob is excited because his Mrs. Puff's Boating School's driving exam is today. He can't even remember how many times he took it, so Gary must remind him. If he passes it, he will get his license. First, he must pass the oral section of the exam. Having taken the exam thirty-seven times previously, SpongeBob is able to answer the questions before they are even asked. However, he panics in the boat and flunks the driving portion of the exam. Later that night, Patrick attempts to cheer SpongeBob up with a "surprise", but SpongeBob is too depressed to laugh. He explains his problem to Patrick and mentions that he needs someone to help him think straight during the exam. Patrick quickly devises a plan. He puts a walkie-talkie inside SpongeBob's head so that he can talk SpongeBob through the test, hiding the antenna with a large cowboy hat.
The next day, SpongeBob goes back to take the test again. When asked to start the boat, he initially panics, but Patrick's instructions keep him calm. This is followed by a video montage of SpongeBob acting the exam, interspersed with shots of Patrick eating SpongeBob's food and reading his diary while helping him. Mrs. Puff is floored by his sudden improvement and jokingly suggests that SpongeBob’s success is due to an antenna under his hat through which "some guy miles away is giving him all the answers." SpongeBob (and Patrick) finds this hilarious, until Mrs. Puff concludes, "But that would be cheating!" Upon realizing that he has been cheating, SpongeBob goes into hysterics, driving wildly all over the course and sobbing while Mrs. Puff tries desperately to stop him. He crashes the boat and thus flunks the test yet another time. Mrs. Puff puffs and floats up and SpongeBob floats up too it turns out he is being sucked by the fishermen, Patrick saves him, but Ouff remakes the hole thus everything else gets sucked up, the sucker breaks and they suck their dicks

The episodes starts out when [[Squidward Tentacles|Squidward]] has made a very good soufflé, but [[SpongeBob SquarePants|SpongeBob]] and [[Patrick Star|Patrick's]] laughing distracts him from enjoying it. Squidward sees they are having a private conversation with bubbles. They whisper a message into the bubble wand instead of blowing into it, and when the bubble pops, the message can be heard.
Annoyed, Squidward makes bubbles of his own, imitating SpongeBob and Patrick, but insulting them both. Thinking the bubbles are from each other, SpongeBob and Patrick become angry and get into a fight, eventually declaring that they are no longer friends. Squidward eats his soufflé while laughing, but in doing so chokes on the fork. Patrick performs CPR on him, and he becomes Squidward's friend.
Patrick falls asleep on Squidward when Squidward plays his clarinet and Squidward angrily kicks him out and also Sprains his back. SpongeBob helps Squidward and becomes his friend. SpongeBob and Squidward decide to play music. SpongeBob plays a cello which he thinks is a bassinet, but instead of music he plays the music scratchily. SpongeBob breaks it when Patrick interrupts, and Squidward angrily kicks him out.
Squidward decides to invite Patrick and SpongeBob to a dinner party (without telling either of them that the other is coming) in order to repair their friendship. When they arrive, they are still mad at each other. Squidward tries to get them back together, but the situation devolves into a competition to see who can drink the most soda and thus become Squidward's best friend. Squidward runs out of soda and leaves to get some more. While he is gone, SpongeBob and Patrick hiccup small bubbles that make a burping sound when they burst. They find this amusing and become friends again, but because they drank so many glasses of pop (SpongeBob drank 14 glasses and Patrick drank 12), their burps create a whole load of bubbles that make Squidward's house collapse. At the end, Squidward never put his key in the door, but he was able to open it anyway. He sees the whole place destroyed and tells himself that he made a mistake. SpongeBob mentions that he and Patrick are best friends again. After Squidward furiously tells them to get out of his house, he slams the door. Then, a bubble just hit the door, which fell on Squidward's back. Squidward then cries, "Oh, oh... my back!"

At the Krusty Krab, Squidward gives SpongeBob an order for a Krabby Patty. After making the patty, it begins to "move" and makes its way towards the front door. Mr. Krabs pulls Plankton off of the burger and sends him back to the Chum Bucket. Krabs explains that Plankton is his arch-competitor, and has been trying to steal the Krabby Patty's secret formula for years.
That night, after the Krusty Krab closes, Plankton tries to convince SpongeBob that they are friends, and that as such SpongeBob should give him a [[Krabby Patty]]. SpongeBob refuses and runs back home, but Plankton promises that SpongeBob will "hand deliver a Patty" to him.

Later that night, Plankton enters SpongeBob's head through a pore and makes his way to
[[SpongeBob's Brain House|SpongeBob's Brain]]. He attaches a mind control device to the brain and bends SpongeBob to his will, forcing him to walk to the Krusty Krab, get a Krabby Patty, and bring it to the Chum Bucket's Laboratory.
Plankton shows SpongeBob his computer, which can display the Ingredients of whatever he places in a nearby bowl. As a demonstration, he drops a piece of seaweed into the machine, to which Karen complies: 50% sea, 50% weed. Before he can force SpongeBob to drop the Krabby Patty in, SpongeBob begins a sorrowful ode to the Patty describing its tastiness. A hungry Plankton leaps onto the burger, bounces off its bun and falls into the bowl, and says "Oh Boy" before the computer displays his components (1% evil, 99% hot gas) on the computer screen. With Plankton stuck inside the computer, SpongeBob walks home.

==Plot==
The Narrator introduces Goo Lagoon, a popular beach in Bikini Bottom. While at the beach, SpongeBob and Sandy are sitting down in beach chairs. SpongeBob puts on a show by making sand sculptures, which makes Sandy laugh. Larry the Lobster comes and asks if they want to lift weights. Sandy accepts quickly, while SpongeBob mopes behind them. When they arrive at the weight lifting area, Sandy lifts a bar weight and the crowd cheers. SpongeBob tries to get them to do something else, but Larry continues. He lifts a bar weight with six weights and the crowd cheers. Attempting to impress the crowd, SpongeBob lifts a stick but the crowd is bored. Sandy then lifts two anchors and is cheered. Larry then lifts the entire audience and bleachers, and once again the crowd cheers. A left out SpongeBob tries to get more attention by lifting marshmallows he borrowed from a fish who was roasting them. However, he accidentally rips his pants in the process, and the crowd laughs hysterically. Feeling embarrassed, SpongeBob sadly leaves the weight lifting area. Beachers continue to laugh at him and Scooter compliments him for the good laugh. When Sandy agrees, SpongeBob decides to use this as an advantage. He goes onto ripping his pants while playing volleyball, then while playing frisbee. SpongeBob and Sandy then proceed to get some ice cream in which he uses his ripped pants joke to gain attention. He gets carried away and uses the joke at the snack bar and a kitchen.
While at the surfing competition, SpongeBob rips his pants while surfing, which bores everyone. Realizing this, SpongeBob pretends to drown. When he washes up on the beach, a crowd gathers around him. He tells the lifeguard that he needs a tailor--because he ripped his pants. Everyone gets upset, including Sandy. He attempts to revive the joke by ripping his entire pants off, but it is unsuccessful. After he realizes that he has driven all his friends away, he asks himself if he is the biggest loser on the beach. This question is answered by three other beachers, who each believe they are the biggest losers on the beach. Evelyn, who forgot to put on sunscreen, a turtle, who got sand in burger buns, and a whale named Frank who was buried in the sand and forgotten. They ask SpongeBob what happened to him, and he tells his story through a song. The waves during the lines "Now I learned a lesson I won't soon forget, So listen and you won't regret" were identical to the one in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie credits, SpongeBob's song gains popularity; everyone on the beach sees this, and understands how he feels and that he apologizes. Sandy tells SpongeBob that if he wanted her to be his friend, he should have been himself. Larry asks for an autograph on his pants and SpongeBob accepts. He bends down to sign, and his underwear rips off completely. SpongeBob is now fully naked in public and blushes in embarrassment.

==Plot==
SpongeBob and Patrick prepare for jellyfishing, but then meet Squidward and ask him if he wants to join them. He refuses and decides to go bicycling instead. SpongeBob asks Squidward if he can join them next time, and Squidward says yes sarcastically and, rides off. Unfortunately, while he is bicycling, he has an accident (that involves jellyfish), and becomes is wheelchair bound.
SpongeBob and Patrick decide that what Squidward needs is a "Best Day Ever" jellyfishing expedition. After an alphabet soup and SpongeBob's clarinet solo, (in which he didn't play), they took Squidward to Jellyfish Fields to demonstrate how to jellyfish. He is not into it at first, but when a jellyfish stings him, he goes after it for revenge. He manages to catch the jellyfish, but in doing so angers a queen jellyfish. The queen jellyfish chases after him, but it turns to be a fake as it sucks Squidward in, and a ploy by the fishermen, it sucks SpongeBOB AND Pagrick to but they escape.{{DEFAULTSORT:x}}

==Plot==
SpongeBob walks outside and admires the peacefulness of the neighborhood. Suddenly, he loudly sets up a bubblestand outside of his pineapple in order to teach others how to blow bubbles like he does. This annoys Squidward, who requests SpongeBob to be quiet. SpongeBob slows down and eventually finishes his stand. For 25 cents per lesson, he attempts to teach Patrick some of his tricks, showing him the technique that allows him to blow bubbles in various shapes and sizes.
One elephant-shaped bubble (Which Patrick calls a giraffe) floats into Squidward's window, thus attracting his foul temper. An angry Squidward marches out and attempts to blow a bubble that will upstage SpongeBob without using the technique, but he fails. He tries this over and over again, while SpongeBob and Patrick try to remind him of the technique. Finalley he gives in and sarcastically imitates the technique. He succeeds and creates a bubble so large it floats away as SpongeBob and Patrick cheer. Filled with pride, Squidward goes back into his house and plays the clarinet. However, the large bubble returns and engulfs his house completely. It floats toward the surface as he plays his clarinet. The bubble is sucked in by the fishermen, but luckily pops before they can suck it in and so they suck their dicks.

==Plot==
A squirrel escapes from captivity into the water.

Five years later, SpongeBob jellyfishing in [[Jellyfish Fields]]. Shortly after, he spots somebody wrestling a giant clam. He takes out his field guide book, and identifies her as a 'land squirrel'. SpongeBob thinks she is in trouble, and goes to wrestle the clam himself.

The squirrel manages to escape the clam, but SpongeBob ends up inside of it. The squirrel then rescues SpongeBob, and throws the clam out of the area. The squirrel introduces herself as [[Sandy Cheeks]]. SpongeBob inquires about the helmet she wears, and Sandy tells him that it is her air helmet. SpongeBob does not know what air is, but claims to love it to impress her. Sandy then invites him to her [[Sandy's Treedome|Treedome]] for "Texas tea" and cookies. SpongeBob quickly runs over to [[Patrick Star|Patrick]] and tells him everything that happened. He tells SpongeBob that 'putting on airs' is fancy talk. Patrick tells SpongeBob to hold his pinky finger up high if he wants to be fancy.

SpongeBob later arrives at Sandy's Treedome, and the water level drops. He panics and tells Sandy that there is no water. She tells him that there is only air. SpongeBob lies about him having no problem, and he tries hard to breathe. He does not realize that sea creatures breathe water to survive.

Sandy gives SpongeBob a tour of her Treedome, showing him her oak tree house, a bird bath, among other things. During this, SpongeBob quickly sneaks over to the bird bath, which is filled with water; he eventually figures out that he needs water to breathe. SpongeBob gives Sandy some flowers, and she gets a vase for them.

Meanwhile, Patrick, watching from outside the Treedome, tells SpongeBob to keep his pinky finger up high. Sandy comes back and puts the flowers in a vase filled with water on the picnic table. SpongeBob tries to resist drinking the water while Sandy gets the tea and cookies. SpongeBob eventually drinks it and runs for the door, declaring that he is a quitter. Patrick thinks SpongeBob is shy of Sandy, and he enters the Treedome and tries to convince him to stay.

After a moment, Patrick also realizes that there is no water. The two struggle to leave the Treedome. Both Patrick and SpongeBob eventually dry up on the grass. Sandy eventually returns and gives them water-filled helmets.

In the end, proposes a toast to new friends, and they drink their tea. SpongeBob and Patrick gulp down the tea-filled water in their new helmets, with their pinky fingers pointing up.

SpongeBob's foghorn alarm clock rings, waking him up in the morning. He tells his pet, Gary the Snail that he must be in good shape because this particular day is important. He jumps off of his diving board and lands in his pants. He goes to his exercise room and lifts a bar-weight (which is actually two stuffed animals). Afterwards, SpongeBob exclaims that he is ready.
He runs outside and down the street to the Krusty Krab, repeatedly saying, "I'm ready" while his neighbor and best friend, Patrick Star, cheers him on. SpongeBob sees the 'Help Wanted' sign on the Krusty Krab window. He then declares that he is ready to obtain the job, which he has been dreaming of for years; however, he loses his confidence. Patrick convinces him to apply for the job, and so SpongeBob does, thereby declaring he is ready three more times. Squidward Tentacles, the head cashier, is cleaning the window (above his head the word 'loser' is written on the glass pane). Squidward sees that SpongeBob wants the job, and so he tells restaurant-owner Eugene H. Krabs that SpongeBob does not qualify for the job. SpongeBob walks into the Krusty Krab and asks for the job. To get rid of him, Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob that he can join the 'Krusty Crew' if he passes a "test"--which is to obtain a 'Hydrodynamic Spatula with Port and Starboard Attachments and a Turbo-Drive'.
As soon as SpongeBob leaves, two fisherman named Mr. Fisherman and Mr. Fisherboy find the Kursty Krab and use their claws to take them to the surface (operation 2515-127). About to be experimented on, SpongeBob arrives, flying by with his 'Hydrodynamic Spatula with Port and Starboard Attachments and a Turbo-Drive'. Mr. Krabs is flabbergasted at the fact that SpongeBob actually passed the "test". SpongeBob rescues the two and return underwater.
Mr. Krabs hires SpongeBob by welcoming him to the Krusty Crew and giving him a name tag. At the end, Patrick walks in and asks for a Krabby Patty, which causes SpongeBob to race into the kitchen and make a huge stream of Krabby Patties, which then hits Patrick and sends him flying out of the restaurant & Squidward begins yelling to Mr. Krabs, saying, "Mr. Krabs! Mr. Krabs! Mr. Krabs, come see your new employee.". The fisherman are angry and vow to catch SpongeBob.

==Animation style==
This episode is the first, so it has many differences to the rest of the series. However, the original version of the episode had many other minor differences corrected later. For example, this episode (along with Pickles, Employee of the Month, and One Krab's Trash) is the only episode where SpongeBob's bed is on the right. Differences in voices are another example. SpongeBob's voice is slightly lower and Patrick's is deeper. Designs and colors are also different. For example, SpongeBob has fewer holes than in newer episodes and brighter yellow skin, Mr. Krabs' eyelids are pinkish red opposed to red, Mr. Krabs' left (right from our perspective) eye winks while he laughs, Squidward's complexion is brighter, his laugh is different, and the comedic "splat" sound is different. Gary's eye pupils and irises are smaller with a different tone of voice in the "meow" (although [[Tom Kenny]] claims to use a new "meow" for each episode where Gary is shown meowing). Squidward also appears to have rows of sticks behind his house. Differences in SpongeBob's house are also present in this episode, but not in others, such as there is only one window in the front. Also, SpongeBob's alarm clock has the same ship horn sound but echoes. The changes were made when the series officially aired.

==A Goof + A Gaff = A Laugh==
*In the "written by" section of the opening credits, [[Stephen Hillenburg]] is incorrectly spelled as Stephen Hilleburg.
*[[Guest Stars|Tiny Tim]]'s "''[[Living In The Sunlight, Loving In The Moonlight (Song)|Living in the Sunlight, Loving in the Moonlight]]''" is featured in the episode.
*During "[[Living In The Sunlight, Loving In The Moonlight (Song)|Living in the Sunlight, Loving in the Moonlight]]", Tiny Tim sings ''"Just take it from me, I'm just free as any daughter"'', but the captions read, ''"Just take from me, I'm just free as any brother"''.
*The animation was not as high quality unlike the following episodes, as the rapid movements made by SpongeBob. When he was bouncing off the walls, roof, and floor of the Krusty Krab it just showed a yellow square. When the anchovies were jumping up and down they were just blue and brown (mostly blue) finger-shaped ovals.
*Initially, the debut episode was not included on the SpongeBob season 1 DVD set, presumably because of music licensing issues involving the aforementioned song. However, the episode has since been made available on the DVD release of the third season as a bonus feature,and on the [[10 Happiest Moments (DVD)|10 Happiest Moments]] DVD as a bonus episode.
*Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Patrick, and SpongeBob all have a different tone in skin color than in other episodes.
*Mr. Krabs' eyelids are pink in this episode. In every other episode, they are red.
*[[SpongeBob SquarePants|SpongeBob]] couldn't have cooked the [[Krabby Patty|Krabby Patties]] because [[Mr. Krabs]] hasn't given him the formula yet.
*In this episode, Gary's eye pupils are red dots, but in further episodes they are black dots in red dots.
*It's unknown how SpongeBob got into the Krusty Krab when the door was blocked by anchovies.
*This is the first episode to use traditional cel animation
*A Gastropod first meaw because they are equivalent to cats, rays have not shown yet.
*[[Guest Stars|Tiny Tim]] died about 3 years before this episode premiered. He died on November 30, 1996.
