'''Mermaid Man''' is a semi-retired superhero. He is voiced by Academy Awards|Academy Award-winning actor Ernest Borgnine (in the series). His name is a portmanteau of mermaid and the lesser-known merman, the latter being the actual name for the male version of a mermaid.

Mermaid Man is a semi-retired superhero who has aged well past his prime. His costume mostly resembles the costume of the comic book hero Aquaman, with the addition of a star-shaped mask, a scallop-shell bra, and a pair of fuzzy slippers. Mermaid Man's underwater lair and method of crime fighting is a parody of Batman, and his "invisible Boat-Mobile" is a parody of both the Batmobile and Wonder Woman's invisible jet. It is unknown how he can live in [[Bikini Bottom]], as he, along with [[Barnacle Boy]], are the only true humanoid characters on the show(although he could be [[Atlantis]] or otherwise super-powered). He has an obsession with the word "EEEEVIIILLLLLL!"

Mermaid Man's sidekick is Barnacle Boy, who he treats like a child even though Barnacle Boy is sixty-eight years old. Mermaid Man appears to be in the advanced stages of senility, often forgetting what he was talking about, or what he was doing. This is not a problem for [[Spongebob Squarepants|SpongeBob]] and [[Patrick Star]], who unconditionally adore the two heroes and managed to coax them out of retirement and back into television. SpongeBob has appeared with them in eight different shorts — often involving a supervillain, a Super Gadget, or some combination of the two. In one episode, he and Patrick made a film about the heroes.

Mermaid Man has several nemeses that he fought long ago. Dirty Bubble, a being made from dirty bubble. Man Ray, a humanoid stingray who do evil things and was frozen in Mermalair. Atomic Flounder, a fish who can shoot nuclear blast from his mounth. And the Moth, a humanoid moth who steals light and according to Mermaid Man, he has been searching for the Moth for 57 years.

Mermaid Man enjoys watching television and playing checkers with Barnacle Boy. He eats almost anything. His favorite foods are meatloaf, mashed potatoes, broccoli, [[Krabby Patty|Krabby Patties]] and ice cream.

According to Mermaid Man, his powers are all in his costume. He uses abilities similar to Aquaman's such as: summon and control sea creatures, high speed swimming (used to create an effect dubbed the Raging Whirlpool), water balls, and the ability to survive underwater. While Mermaid Man retains all of these abilities, they are not as powerful as they were in his prime. Also, Mermaid Man has Super Telescoping Vision according to a scene cut from the storyboards of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V.

In addition to this, his belt houses a wide array of various weapons, most commonly seen as some kind of beam or ray. The only one named is the Shrink Ray which shrinks things, but various effects were created when Spongebob used the belt on Squidward trying to reverse the Shrink Ray's effects. His belt feaures other powers such as Building Obliteration Button, Chin Cam, and various radioactive beams that cause bizarre mutations and various effects to the subject, such as causing them to suddenly catch on fire, turn inside out, or to be cut in half by scissors. They are only briefly shown, all afflicting Squidward. This seems to be a reference to both Batman and Space Ghost.

==Personality==
Squidward Tentacles is a light green/blue colour, and has purple suction cups at the end of his tentacles. He has six limbs in total, two being arms and four being legs. Whenever he walks his suction cups stick to the floor, meaning that he walks with a distinct squelching noise. Squidward has a large bald head, big droopy nose and yellow eyes with red pupils. He wears a brown short-sleeved shirt.

Squidward is usually portrayed to be a whiny, sitck-in-the-mud character, a complete opposite to [[SpongeBob SquarePants]]. He is very egotistical and can't stand saying sorry to anyone or admitting his mistakes. He considers himself very sophisticated and upper-class, and looks down on most other people. Most of the time Squidward is impatient, egotistical and finds everything dull and trivial. However, in some episodes, Squidward is shown to have a rather more wild side. An example of this is in 'Squidsville', Squidward goes to live in a town with other people who are exactly like him. However, Squidward realises that he can't cope with this lifestyle and is shown at the end of the episode to fly away on a reef-blower whilst laughing manically. Also, in 'Squid's Day Off' Squidward is shown as very unstable and slightly mad in nature. Although Squidward has a generally dull and uncaring personality, he cannot keep it up constantly and turns hysterical every once in a while, much to SpongeBob's confusion.

Squidward works as the cashier in the Krusty Krab, but he hates his job, largely due to the fact that he has to work with SpongeBob. He shows no enthusiam, although he often shares a private joke with his boss, [[Eugene H. Krabs]], about SpongeBob. Squidward is only in his job for the paycheck, however small this may be. He dreams of being a world-famous clarinet player, but has done nothing to achieve this.

==Lifestyle==
Sqidward loves art. He has many self-portraits of himself all around his house, but rarely paints anything else. He also plays the clarinet, which he nicknames "Clary". He seems to think that he is a talented clarinet player, but really his songs are usually very out of tune. Squidward also enjoys watching television, listening to the radio ,riding his bike and reading. He takes great pleasure from treating and pampering himself, although he is usually interrupted by SpongeBob whilst trying to relax.

Next to his dream to become a renowned clarinet player, he dreams of having hair, as he is quite sensitive about his baldness (which, due to his egotistical nature, he won't admit). However, in 'The Original Fry-Cook', it is revealed that Squidward used to have flowing blond hair.

Squidward lives in an Easter Island head. Unfortunately for him, his house is located right in between SpongeBob's pineapple and Patrick's rock. Squidward's house has been shown to have the ability to move on several occasions, including when it leans over in order to peek into Patrick's secret box. It also hs been shown with two rocky arms protruding from the ground that it puts in its ears when SpongeBob and Patrick are being particularly loud.

==Squidward's tryings to get rid of SpongeBob and/or Patrick==
*In [[Naughty Nautical Neighbors (Episode)|Naughty Nautical Neighbors]] Squidward arrives that SpongeBob and Patrick become enemies, so he thinks there are no problems anymore. But now SpongeBob and Patrick want to be his best friend, so Squidward arrives the contrary of his idea.
*In [[Opposite Day (Episode)|Opposite Day]] Squidward is going to move out. But a controller is going to check, if there is no pertutbing neighbours, otherwise he mustn't move. So that SpongeBob and Patrick don't disturb the controller, he invents the opposite day, but SpongeBob and Patrick think they are Squidward. As the controller thinks there are 3 Squidwards, she refuses the move.
*In [[SB-129 (Episode)|SB-129]] Squidward wants to play the clarinett without SpongeBob's and Patrick's noise, so he absconds and goes to the Krusty Krab's freezer. Shortly after he is freezed and is unfreezed 2000 years later. Immedialtely he doesn't want to stay there and with a time machine he moves in the pastand at the end he was in the middle of nowhere and he recognizes he can't live without SpongeBob and Patrick.
*In [[Squid's Day Off (Episode)|Squid's Day Off]] Mr. Krabs's arms are "broken", so he gives his job to Squidward. Squidward benefits this chance to be as far as possible from SpongeBob. But whilst SpongeBob in the Krusty Krab works and Squidward in his house, Squidward thinks SpongeBob destroys the Krusty Krab.
*In [[Squidville (Episode)|Squidville]] Squidward moves to the [[Tentacle Acres]] so that Squidward is far away from his neighbours. But Suidward become mad without SpongeBob ad Patrick and returns to the Conch Street.
*In [[Good Neighbours (Episode)|Good Neighbours]] Squidward installs the ''safety system 5000'' so that SpongeBob and Patrick can't get on his nerves anymore. Shortly after the system raged trough Bikini Bottoma and Squidward must every Sonday achieve community service with SpongeBob and Patrick.
*In [[Funny Pants (Episode)|Funny Pants]] Squidward can't sustain SpongeBob's laughter, so he tells SpongeBob if he doesn't stop to laugh, he won't be able to laugh anymore! SpongeBob believe in Squidwared's words so much, that he can't laugh anymore. But in stat of laughing he cries all the times and Squidward suffer like before.
*In [[Hocus Pocus (Episode)|Hocus Pocus]] SpongeBob wants to demonstrate Squidward a card trick. Whilst SpongeBob does this Suidward gets on the bus and disappear. Sometime later he retunrns and immediately he absconds a second time.
*In [[SpongeBob Vs. Krabby Gadget (Episode)|SpongeBob Vs. Krabby Gadget]] Squidward has a machine which needs no help to prepare Krabby Paties, so that SpongeBob will be fired, but SpongeBob arrives to beat it.

==Squidward's espacial default==
We already know that Squidward is too easy to vex and this default brings him to bad situation.
*In [[Employee of the Month (Episode)|Employee of the Month]] SpongeBob says Squidward can't be the Employee of the Month (not directly at the beginning of the episode), so Squidward decides to beat SpongeBob. But at the end, they become mad, destroys the Krusty Krab and we don't know who is the new Employee of the Month.
*In [[The Paper]] Squidward gives SpongeBob a small paper. SpongeBob has a lot of fun with it and Squidward become jealous and is vexed. He gives all his chattels to SpongeBob just so that he get the paper. But he notices he hasn't got any fun with it and he hasn't got anything else.
*In [[Fools in April (Episode)|Fools in April]] SpongeBob makes April Fools. They get on Squidward's nerves, SpongeBob goes over the top and Squidward arrives that SpongeBob runs cried at home. Finally, Squidward excuses for his "joke".
*In [[Club SpongeBob (Episode)|Club SpongeBob]] Squidward thinks SpongeBob thinks Squidward can't be a club's member. As Squidward climbs down, he unwittingly catapults all the club in a forest.
*In [[The Camping Episode (Episode)|The Camping Episode]] SpongeBob says: "Have fun inside." So Squidward thinks the word ''inside'' means he can't go camping, so he goes camping with SpongeBob and Patrick. Finally, he is beated by a [[sea bear]] and a [[sea rhinoceros]]!

Sandy is a very smart, talented and athletic squirrel born in the state of Texas, who moved to [[Bikini Bottom]] in the Pacific Ocean underneath Bikini Atoll in about 1998[citation needed], because her job is experimenting underwater. She is also an inventor.

She lives in an air-filled habitat structure called the [[Treedome]] (a polyurethane dome containing a tree, living quarters and various other land plants). When outside of the [[Treedome]], Sandy wears an air-filled suit that looks much like an astronaut's space suit; while in her Treedome, she wears a purple bikini with a purple skirt-like ring around her middle and with green underneath. Physically, Sandy is one of the strongest creatures (along with Larry Lobster) in Bikini Bottom. She claims to be stronger than Larry and can even pull down gigantic ships and boats from the surface of the ocean as seen in "Sandy, SpongeBob, and the Worm." Sandy was hibernating during the winter in Survival of the Idiots. This episode was played in "Bikini Bottom Best Friends Collection."

In "Chimps Ahoy", she is visited in Bikini Bottom by her patrons, a group of air-breathing monkeys from the surface (with upper-class English accents and manners) who periodically stop by to audit her scientific research.

Spongebob often becomes jealous of the attention Sandy gives to other friends and once wrote a song (notably in the episode 'Ripped Pants') about how he "lost his girl" and "someone stole his girl" because of his ripped pants; also, early in the series, Spongebob takes great pains to impress Sandy and possibly considers their special get-togethers in Sandy's bubble dates. Sandy is also shown to be a companion of [[Larry the Lobster]] in scenarios reminiscent of casual dating (it was Larry who "stole" Sandy away from Spongebob in 'Ripped Pants'). Most recently, Sandy has been shown to take a deep interest in Squidward, which Squidward either secretly delights in or has no clue to her latest advances. Either way, it's heavily insinuated he returns the feeling.

==Trivia==
Sandy's voice actor, Carolyn Lawrence, also voices Cindy Vortex on the show The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, and she and Sandy both practice martial arts. However, Cindy practices tae-kwon-do, whilst Sandy practices karate.
The logo on the patch of Sandy's spacesuit varies between an acorn or a AC outlet, depending on the episode.
It is revealed in the episode Patrick Smartpants that Sandy's full name is Sandra.
Sandy is described as the only mammal in Bikini Bottom. However, that is not accurate. Pearl Krabs is also a Mammal.
In season one, Sandy did not have a tail visible through her suit.
During season 4, Sandy is a scientist but in the episode Tea at the Treedome she would've known a sea creature can't live without water. Most likely, she is not a Zoologist.
She also made thirteen appearances in season one. That is more appearances than any other seasons in the series.

Whenever he walks his suction cups stick to the floor, meaning that he walks with a distinct squelching noise. Squidward has a large bald head, big droopy nose and yellow eyes with red pupils. He wears a brown short-sleeved shirt.

Squidward is usually portrayed to be a whiny, sitck-in-the-mud character, a complete opposite to [[SpongeBob SquarePants]]. He is very egotistical and can't stand saying sorry to anyone or admitting his mistakes. He considers himself very sophisticated and upper-class, and looks down on most other people. Most of the time Squidward is impatient, egotistical and finds everything dull and trivial. However, in some episodes, Squidward is shown to have a rather more wild side. An example of this is in 'Squidsville', Squidward goes to live in a town with other people who are exactly like him. However, Squidward realises that he can't cope with this lifestyle and is shown at the end of the episode to fly away on a reef-blower whilst laughing manically. Also, in 'Squid's Day Off' Squidward is shown as very unstable and slightly mad in nature. Although Squidward has a generally dull and uncaring personality, he cannot keep it up constantly and turns hysterical every once in a while, much to SpongeBob's confusion.

Squidward works as the cashier in the Krusty Krab, but he hates his job, largely due to the fact that he has to work with SpongeBob. He shows no enthusiam, although he often shares a private joke with his boss, [[Eugene H. Krabs]], about SpongeBob. Squidward is only in his job for the paycheck, however small this may be. He dreams of being a world-famous clarinet player, but has done nothing to achieve this.

==Lifestyle==
Sqidward loves art. He has many self-portraits of himself all around his house, but rarely paints anything else. He also plays the clarinet, which he nicknames "Clary". He seems to think that he is a talented clarinet player, but really his songs are usually very out of tune. Squidward also enjoys watching television, listening to the radio ,riding his bike and reading. He takes great pleasure from treating and pampering himself, although he is usually interrupted by SpongeBob whilst trying to relax.

Next to his dream to become a renowned clarinet player, he dreams of having hair, as he is quite sensitive about his baldness (which, due to his egotistical nature, he won't admit). However, in 'The Original Fry-Cook', it is revealed that Squidward used to have flowing blond hair.

Squidward lives in an Easter Island head. Unfortunately for him, his house is located right in between SpongeBob's pineapple and Patrick's rock. Squidward's house has been shown to have the ability to move on several occasions, including when it leans over in order to peek into Patrick's secret box. It also hs been shown with two rocky arms protruding from the ground that it puts in its ears when SpongeBob and Patrick are being particularly loud.

*In [[Naughty Nautical Neighbors (Episode)|Naughty Nautical Neighbors]] Squidward arrives that SpongeBob and Patrick become enemies, so he thinks there are no problems anymore. But now SpongeBob and Patrick want to be his best friend, so Squidward arrives the contrary of his idea.
*In [[Opposite Day (Episode)|Opposite Day]] Squidward is going to move out. But a controller is going to check, if there is no pertutbing neighbours, otherwise he mustn't move. So that SpongeBob and Patrick don't disturb the controller, he invents the opposite day, but SpongeBob and Patrick think they are Squidward. As the controller thinks there are 3 Squidwards, she refuses the move.
*In [[SB-129 (Episode)|SB-129]] Squidward wants to play the clarinett without SpongeBob's and Patrick's noise, so he absconds and goes to the Krusty Krab's freezer. Shortly after he is freezed and is unfreezed 2000 years later. Immedialtely he doesn't want to stay there and with a time machine he moves in the pastand at the end he was in the middle of nowhere and he recognizes he can't live without SpongeBob and Patrick.
*In [[Squid's Day Off (Episode)|Squid's Day Off]] Mr. Krabs's arms are "broken", so he gives his job to Squidward. Squidward benefits this chance to be as far as possible from SpongeBob. But whilst SpongeBob in the Krusty Krab works and Squidward in his house, Squidward thinks SpongeBob destroys the Krusty Krab.

Barnacle Boy is Mermaid Man's side-kick. He is voiced by Emmy Award winning comedian and actor Tim Conway.

Barnacle Boy (actual name Kyle) is a 68-year old semi-retired superhero sidekick, although he still is more sane and aware than Mermaid Man. He, along with Mermaid Man, are the only real humaonids on the show. His costume is a cross between the Silver Age Aqualad and Gilligan of Gilligan's Island. Barnacle Boy also exclaims "Mumblin' Morays!" when excited. Although he turned evil and won against Mermaid Man, forcing him to give in to his demand of being called Barnacle Man, he soon reverted to being called Barnacle Boy. Mermaid Man, his mentor, treats him as if he were a young boy, in spite him being an adult. He often calls Mermaid Man an "old coot". In true sidekick fashion he takes the brunt of the physical comedy upon himself.

Barnacle Boy once became a villain briefly in Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V, teaming up with Man Ray and the Dirty Bubble following a dispute about a pipsqueak patty (a very small version of a Krabby Patty intended for children) at the Krusty Krab. After a protracted fight — and a painful parody of the International Justice League of Super Acquaintances with the regular cast — he and Mermaid Man patched things up. Barnacle Man, as he likes to be called, gets a little more respect now (even though he cannot finish an adult-sized Krabby Patty). In the same episode, Barnacle Boy mentioned he was so old he had hairs growing out of the wrinkles on his liver spots. He also has a nose similar to Squidward's, although larger.

This is referenced in Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy IV when Barnacle Boy and Squidward are locked in a battle of wits involving them calling each other "Big-nose." Barnacle Boy also runs security at the Rock Bottom Museum.

In the video game, Battle for Bikini Bottom, it was revealed that Barnacle Boy has a son, a daughter-in-law, and four "screaming" grandchildren.

Barnacle boy possesses powers similar to Mermaid Man, though he lacks the belt powers. However,he does have "Sulfur Vision" (a form of heat vision) that Mermaid Man does not. Like Mermaid Man,his powers are not what they used to be.

According to Mermaid Man, his powers are all in his costume. While Mermaid Man retains all of these abilities, they are not as powerful as they were in his prime. In addition to this, his belt houses a wide array of various weapons, most commonly seen as some kind of beam or ray. The only one named is the Shrink Ray which shrinks things, but various effects were created when Spongebob used the belt on Squidward trying to reverse the Shrink Ray's effects. His belt feaures other powers such as Building Obliteration Button, Chin Cam, and various radioactive beams that cause bizarre mutations and various effects to the subject, such as causing them to suddenly catch on fire, turn inside out, or to be cut in half by scissors. ==Vita==
We don't know many things about Squidward's parents. In [[Krab Borg (Episode)|Krab Borg]] Squidward says that his father loved him. We can suppose that [[Squidward's father]] is dead because he tells this in past. But we see [[Squidward's mother]] in [[Krusty Towers (Episode)|Krusty Towers]]. 

His rivalry with [[Squilliam]] conisted since the High School. Now Squilliam is rich and does all the things that Squidward want to be or to do, he lives Squidward's dream. 

Squidward lives in a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moai Moai] in the Conch Street 122. In His house he has a lot of self-portraits. (His neighbours are SpongeBob and Patrick.). 

He works usually as cashier in the Krusty Krab, but he hates his job and he doesn't want to do anything for the Krusty Krab. He doesn't leave it because he doesn't know what to do, otherwise he becomes a homeless person. He thinks the food in the Krusty Krab is not good, because he never wants to taste them. Since [[Just a bite (Episode)|Just a Bite]] he never tastes a Krabby Patty! But then he notices, he adores Krabby Patties. 

The poor Squidward must, since [[Good Neighbours (Episode)|Good Neigbours]], achieve community Service with SpongeBob and Patrick all their lives long. 

We come to know that he was in jail. Originally, he must be in prison 10 years, but he was not. We don't know how or why he leaved it. ([[Good Old Whatshisnameagain (Episode)|84c]])

==Personality==
Sqidward loved art. He does many artistic things like painting, working with marble or dancing... as hobby. He individually thinks his "artistic" things are beautiful, but for the Bikini Bottom people it is not! He tries to beat his rival and one time he arrives it; in [[Band Geeks (Episode)|Band Geeks]]. His favorite hobby in turn is to play the clarinett, his friend, but we can clearly hear he can't. But in some episodes like in [[Bubblestand (Episode)|Bubble Stand]] he can perfectly play the clarinet. Maybe, so that he can play the clarinet well, he has to feel himself like a winner. Sometimes, we can suppose Squidward knows he can't play, like in [[Fools In April]] (-Citation). 

Squidward can't say "Excuse me." There must be a very special reason because usually Squidward is egoistic and thinks he is right everytime. 

Squidward is a kind of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissism Narcist]. Even he knows the others are better, he says something, so that he clearly means: "I [Squidward] am still the best for ever.". 
In "''[[Artist Unknown (Episode)|Artist Unknown]]''" SpongeBob makes a perfect circle and Squidward is fascinated, but he tells SpongeBob off and says that art can't be make so easily like magic. Then SpongeBob makes a wonderful [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_%28Michelangelo%29 sculpture]; inwardly Squidward is frantic, but he shouts at SpongeBob. Sometimes we sees him during he looks applaudably himself in a hand mirror. 
He unfortunately underestimates the other people; in particular SpongeBob. 

Next to his dream to become a perfect artist, he wats to have hair! In [[One Krab's Trash (Episode)|One Krab's Trash]] we see Squidward's dream are buried in a accursed cementery. He apparently comes there and brings flower to his dream's tomb. Maybe he is therefore always churlish. 

His crabbiness is also contributed by SpongeBob and Patrick presence. In [[Breat of Fresh Squidward (Episode)|Breath of Fresh Squidward]] SpongeBob explains that a storm appears over Squidward's brain when he sees SpongeBob or Patrick or both. Squidwards glad of bliss get a cold and himself isn't happy. But SpongeBob and Patrick think Squidward is thier friend and sometimes Squidward recognizes he likes SpongeBob and Patrick. He often want to get rid of them, but either it doesn't go or he misses SpongeBob and Patrick. 

He hates jellyfishing, even he unwittingly invents it ([[SB-129 (Episode)|14a]])! He is too easy to vex him, so it's difficult to become a friend or to establish a relationship. 

Because of his personality we can suppose Squidward is an egoistic bourgeois, but he isn't all the time! He can be very merciful! He shows his feelings other people, but unfortunately just rarely. Like in [[Christmas Who? (Episode)|Christmas Who?]] Squidward give all his goods and chattels just so that SpongeBob happy is. In [[Pizza Delivery (Episode)|Pizza Delivery]] SpongeBob breaks out in tears as the costoumer doesn't want the pizza, so Squidward "assists a bit".

==Vita==
We don't know many things about Squidward's parents. In [[Krab Borg (Episode)|Krab Borg]] Squidward says that his father loved him. We can suppose that [[Squidward's father]] is dead because he tells this in past. But we see [[Squidward's mother]] in [[Krusty Towers (Episode)|Krusty Towers]]. 

His rivalry with [[Squilliam]] conisted since the High School. Now Squilliam is rich and does all the things that Squidward want to be or to do, he lives Squidward's dream. 

Squidward lives in a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moai Moai] in the Conch Street 122. In His house he has a lot of self-portraits. (His neighbours are SpongeBob and Patrick.). 

He works usually as cashier in the Krusty Krab, but he hates his job and he doesn't want to do anything for the Krusty Krab. He doesn't leave it because he doesn't know what to do, otherwise he becomes a homeless person. He thinks the food in the Krusty Krab is not good, because he never wants to taste them. Since [[Just a bite (Episode)|Just a Bite]] he never tastes a Krabby Patty! But then he notices, he adores Krabby Patties. 

The poor Squidward must, since [[Good Neighbours (Episode)|Good Neigbours]], achieve community Service with SpongeBob and Patrick all their lives long. 

We come to know that he was in jail. Originally, he must be in prison 10 years, but he was not. We don't know how or why he leaved it. ([[Good Old Whatshisnameagain (Episode)|84c]])

==Personality==
Sqidward loved art. He does many artistic things like painting, working with marble or dancing... as hobby. He individually thinks his "artistic" things are beautiful, but for the Bikini Bottom people it is not! He tries to beat his rival and one time he arrives it; in [[Band Geeks (Episode)|Band Geeks]]. His favorite hobby in turn is to play the clarinett, his friend, but we can clearly hear he can't. But in some episodes like in [[Bubblestand (Episode)|Bubble Stand]] he can perfectly play the clarinet. Maybe, so that he can play the clarinet well, he has to feel himself like a winner. Sometimes, we can suppose Squidward knows he can't play, like in [[Fools In April]] (-Citation). 

Squidward can't say "Excuse me." There must be a very special reason because usually Squidward is egoistic and thinks he is right everytime. 

Squidward is a kind of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissism Narcist]. Even he knows the others are better, he says something, so that he clearly means: "I [Squidward] am still the best for ever.". 
In "''[[Artist Unknown (Episode)|Artist Unknown]]''" SpongeBob makes a perfect circle and Squidward is fascinated, but he tells SpongeBob off and says that art can't be make so easily like magic. Then SpongeBob makes a wonderful [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_%28Michelangelo%29 sculpture]; inwardly Squidward is frantic, but he shouts at SpongeBob. Sometimes we sees him during he looks applaudably himself in a hand mirror. 
He unfortunately underestimates the other people; in particular SpongeBob. 

Next to his dream to become a perfect artist, he wats to have hair! In [[One Krab's Trash (Episode)|One Krab's Trash]] we see Squidward's dream are buried in a accursed cementery. He apparently comes there and brings flower to his dream's tomb. Maybe he is therefore always churlish. 

His crabbiness is also contributed by SpongeBob and Patrick presence. In [[Breat of Fresh Squidward (Episode)|Breath of Fresh Squidward]] SpongeBob explains that a storm appears over Squidward's brain when he sees SpongeBob or Patrick or both. Squidwards glad of bliss get a cold and himself isn't happy. But SpongeBob and Patrick think Squidward is thier friend and sometimes Squidward recognizes he likes SpongeBob and Patrick. He often want to get rid of them, but either it doesn't go or he misses SpongeBob and Patrick. 

He hates jellyfishing, even he unwittingly invents it ([[SB-129 (Episode)|14a]])! He is too easy to vex him, so it's difficult to become a friend or to establish a relationship. 

Because of his personality we can suppose Squidward is an egoistic bourgeois, but he isn't all the time! He can be very merciful! He shows his feelings other people, but unfortunately just rarely. Like in [[Christmas Who? (Episode)|Christmas Who?]] Squidward give all his goods and chattels just so that SpongeBob happy is. In [[Pizza Delivery (Episode)|Pizza Delivery]] SpongeBob breaks out in tears as the costoumer doesn't want the pizza, so Squidward "assists a bit".

Patrick is very stupid, but somehow he attended community college ([[The Bully (Episode)|The Bully]]) and got a driver's license. SpongeBob and Patrick often annoy Squidward to no end, but both of the two are blissfully unaware of it.

==Pokemon references==
Patrick's psychic tendencies could possibly make him a reference to the [[Pokemon]] [[Starmie]], which is a water and psychic-type Pokemon based off of a starfish. Patrick's dim-wittedness, psychic powers, and underwater habitat could also be a reference to the water/psychic type Pokemon [[Slowpoke]]. In the episodes Rule of Dumb and Patrick Smartpants, Patrick temporarily becomes a king and gains astonishing intelligence, respectively. Both of these are characteristics of the Pokemon [[Slowking]], which evolves from Slowpoke (and is noticeably smarter than Slowpoke). Also, Patrick's personality changes in each episode due to something being put on his head (a crown in Rule of Dumb and brain coral in Patrick Smartpants), possibly a reference to the Pokemon [[Shellder]] having to bite a Slowpoke's head to evolve it into Slowking. A Shellder has to detatch from a Slowking's head so the Slowking can turn back into a Slowpoke, which can be portrayed by Patrick replacing the brain coral with his old head.
